This is the strap you're looking for
I've tried it all over the years. Locking straps. Bass straps. Rubber washers for strap locks (my favorite until this). This is the best reasonably priced strap I've encountered. The "locking" system is great. Make sure your strap buttons are not about to fall out since it takes some force to get this to lock, but they hold solid and are completely devoid of extra BS to worry about. Works on your stock guitar or bass. The pad works as you'd expect for a comfortable mount, and the strap is long enough for me at 6'3" (I'm not gorilla player, but i like it reasonably low). I have not tried this at a gig yet but feels like it will keep your shoulder feeling OK well into that 3rd set. Good strap - love it

Real Nifty
I don't ever write reviews but I have to make an exception here. I aquired this strap a couple months back and I am very pleased with my purchase. I've just started playing again and I'm on a tight budget so every buck on gear I spend needs to count. Cheap straps can really be risky. You might be one rip from disaster all the time. With the price of this strap and it's plastic (which you can not rip) ends that lock to the guitar pegs I figured I had to give it a try. It's proved itself to be well made. No wear, the locking mechanism is as tight as the day I got it. The way it locks is a great design and I can not see any way your guitar's strap pegs could pop out unless you are just slinging your axe around by the strap and break the end off...but if you do this, you are an idiot. The shoulder pad; I don't seem to need it, teles are light and the strap on it's own is a good width. If you are one who moves about a lot when playing the shoulder pad would probably slide out of position. You could always use the pad with your gig bag or something.

Great, just a bit uncomfy
It fits my guitar perfectly, and I have bigger buttons than normal which is why I bought this and it works like a charm. The strap is all very sturdy, never losing its grip or slipping and is mostly made really well. The only gripe I have is that it is a bit scratchy and uncomfortable to wear as it rubs up against my neck.

great value for the price
I have used many straps with locks that were very expensive. having to buy new hardware for every guitar so the expensive strap locks would work got out of hand. I thought I would try these straps. To My surprise they are great. They dont come off. they can be removed and used on another guitar. I will definitely buy more of these in the future. One thing I noticed is the straps are not very long. Not an issue for me as I need them the length they are. works perfect for me. If you have ever damaged a really nice guitar due to a strap falling off you know what I mean when I say they don't fall off. and for the price you can buy 10 of them instead of the expensive strap locks and keep buying them if you like. Nothing to screw on nothing to break or loose. just works like I want it to.

Best Kind of Guitar Strap
This self-locking strap makes me forget about the strap, so I can play guitar. This strap is stable, comfortable, lightweight and low profile. Strap length is sufficient, and the plastic locking ends seem sturdy and dependable. I bought one for each of my guitars, so I never need to remove them. Five stars at a great price!

Great strap for smaller players
Got it for my pre teen, who is four foot eight, to use with her short scale bass. The shortest setting on the strap fits the bass medium high on her. She reports way more comfort, and I've noticed her practicing longer. The hard plastic strap ends snap easily but securely into place on the bass. Not sure on long term durability. My guess is that the rigid plastic on this strap would be more prone to failure than the leather strap ends you typically see, but this is just a guess. But the strap length plus included pad make this a really good fit for a big kid or smaller adult.

So far so good.
I gig a few times a month and have band practice (attempt anyway) at least 2-3 times a week. A sit at home, so not a big deal there. Anywho... I have Ernie Ball strap locks on my main guitar and those are pricey but also require replacing strap buttons. I didn't want to do that for all of my guitars. I wanted something for the guitars that is quick and easy. This strap is quick and easy. I had also been using that little plastic rings that lock in when you turn the inner piece. Those were ok, but didn't fit a couple of my guitars. Moreover, one of them was faulty and I couldn't get it off my Tele. So that one bit the dust when I had to pry it off with a screw driver. Not exactly something I want to deal with mid set. This strap with its plastic lock piece has been perfect so far. It goes on/off pretty easily and locks in sufficiently enough that I don't have to worry/think about it. Durability has been good in the few months I've been using it. (knock on tone wood). I'm a little guy, so fit hasn't been issue. Comfort is good even with me having taken the padded piece off. It isn't a sexy strap, so if that's a concern, I imagine you've already moved on to another product anyway. I won't use this on my acoustic that has a wood strap button. Just my electrics.

Affordable convenience and comfort
This strap fits the Yamaha APX600 electric acoustic guitar which I recently picked up. I'm 5' 7" and there's about close to a foot slack remaining which could be tighten up. The shoulder padding is an added bonus and much appreciated. The hinge is made of some form of hard plastic, and I plan on keeping them intact as it stores nicely in the hard case with the guitar. The overall construction is pretty standard, the sewing is double stitching across the brackets which is more than sufficient for my acoustic guitar; the wear will be different if you have a bass which is heavier. Overall I'm satisfied with the cost, quality, convenience, comfort and utility.

Cheapest locking type strap for guitar. Amazon only let you buy three at a time though ,so you have to make numerous orders if you have a lot of guitars. Seem s good value and they seem durable, we will see.
