I picked up the Handcraft Blends Organic Castor Oil (16 fl oz) because castor oil has about a thousand uses and I was curious if it could live up to its reputation. First impression: the bottle is a nice size and the oil itself seems like a good qualit*. It’s scentless, which I appreciate because I don’t always want to smell like a botanical garden. The texture is thick like castor oil should be, and it feels really nice and moisturizing on the skin. I’ve been using it on dry spots, cuticles, and even a little on my hair growth, and it works surprisingly well. It leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated, and a little bit goes a long way. The oil feels clean and smooth, not greasy in a weird way, just the normal rich castor oil texture. For the size of the bottle, it also feels like a good value, since you’ll probably be using it for months unless you’re bathing in it (which I cannot officially recommend). Pros: good quality oil, scentless, very moisturizing, versatile, and a good value for the size. Cons: it’s quite thick, so if you pour too much you may suddenly feel like a glazed donut, and the bottle opening can make it easy to accidentally over-pour. Overall though, it’s a solid castor oil that does exactly what you expect and keeps skin feeling soft and happy

I had carpel tunnel surgery on both hands a few months back, and several people suggested castor oil. I mix it with a bit of coconut oil to massage into my hands, and it works really well. It helps with swelling, and reducing scar tissue. It doesn't have a strong smell, and it was a really good price.

so I don’t really have any other castor oil experience to compare these to, but so far it’s been pretty good for me. It’s nice and thick super oily. It makes her skin very soft. I personally am using these because I have a cyst on my right thumb knuckle and so I have been using a castor oil pack to try to reduce the cyst. I literally just started applying it to my cyst so I haven’t really noticed much of a difference yet. In fact, it kind of seems a little bit more aggravated, but I’m gonna give it some time and just keep applying the castor oil to my thumb. The color is pretty clearish tan, it’s not super dark, but I would say that it’s pretty high quality stuff. I have heard that you really want like black Jamaican castor oil But I would say this stuff is pretty good. Maybe for like detox and cleanse there might be a better castor oil out there like I mentioned the black Jamaican castor oil but it’s pretty good value for your money Update: my cyst has gone down dramatically. I am still applying the castor oil a few times a day. I also use it overnight on my liver and kidneys and thyroid. I find this castor oil super useful and beneficial. I would purchase again. It’s been working to reduce my cyst alongside with a drawing salve.

This organic castor oil works great for both my skin and my hair. I warm a small amount in my hands and apply it to my hair ends and it helps reduce dryness.

I have fine, limp, flat hair (but a lot of it). I worried that this oil would weigh it down or make it greasy but it's one of the best hair treatments I've ever tried. I used it on dry hair, overnight. It leaves my hair soft, bouncy, shiny, and noticeably more manageable (less fly-aways, tangles, and stringiness). Its not greasy after a shampoo. For the first time I finally have some body, volume, and lift at the root and crown. The only cons are that it's very thick and a bit hard to work through the hair, and there is a very light scent which is not my favorite. Both of these minor drawbacks are mitigated by the benefits though. Too soon to tell if it works for growth but it's worth it just for the way it makes my hair look and feel.

This product has worked wonders on my feet. I live in San Francisco and walk most places giving my feet a good workout. I use this on them every evening and it has helped sooth my feet more than anything. It is a good product for the rest of your body as well. A small amount goes along way and I use it sparingly as castor oil in general is a very thick product

I use it as castor oil pack on my stomache before sleep , it works and help with digestive issue.. can feel the differences, bloating also reduced the next day. For hair, it was too thick for me. One bottle can last for ages. Highly recommend it to try.
