Having shoulder surgery. money well spent
love this sling. it beats the heck out of the hospital sling they sent me home with. the picture shows strap across the mid section. i prefer the velcro to be on the front side as it makes it easier for you to put on and take off the sling. h one arm reaching behind you is not easy. it helps with sleeping, the shoulder cant drop and the straps are crossed in the back and having 2 staps distribute the weight so you dont feel like it is cutting into my shoulder. The material is soft and not scratchie, and if you are by youself the straps are long enough to be albe to put it on by yourself, strecommend you have someone help you. i still like to use a small pillow on the couch as it helps to support weight of your shoulders. and you are comfotabel,

Great alternative to what they give you at the hospital
I am two weeks out from rotator cuff surgery, with four weeks left in a sling and like many I was pretty sick of the hospital issued sling after a few days. It was especially uncomfortable to relax or sleep in so I looked for a better option and this sling is it. Pros: SUPER comfortable - it's night and day how much nicer this is to relax and sleep in. VERY stabilizing - my arm feels MUCH more secure and the design of this sling allows you to really tighten it down comfortably to be very secure. Distributes weight better - I have been walking 3-4 miles a day this week and the traditional sling that just goes over one shoulder gets really uncomfortable because my one shoulder bears all the weight of the sling and my arm while I'm walking around. With this sling with straps over both arms, the weight is distributed better. If you want to get back to being active quickly, this sling will really help. Easy enough to get on and adjust alone - it took a couple of tries, but I can pretty easily get this on and off by myself if I need to. VERY easy to ajust. CONS: Front pouch positioning - the only real con for me is that the pouch and strap piece that goes on first is designed to hold your arm very centered in front of your body, as opposed to a traditional sling that allows your arm to me more at your side. This sling doesn't really adjust enough to allow your arm at your side, which is a little problematic when I'm working. I've been able to go back to work at a desk job and for working at a computer, I use my normal sling so I can have my arm at an angle that allows me to type. This con is really a small price to pay for the overall comfort and relief I have gotten. All in all, this is a great purchase, especially if you need to sleep in your sling or you want to be more active.

10 times more comfortble than hospital supplied immobilizer
It is certainly more comfortable than what the hospital is probably going to fit you with following rotator cuff surgery. PLEASE NOTE: An abduction pillow is needed to protect the rotator cuff post surgery. I used a medium "C" shaped padded ring that is intended to be used on a dog like a cone to keep them from licking a hot spot on their legs. I tucked it under my armpit, then applied the Velpeau Arm Sling Immobilizer. What a relief from that so poorly designed "Slingshot 2" by Breg that has one strap that pulls on your neck opposite your affected extremity. This constant pulling on your neck causes you to shrug your shoulder of the affected extremity-the worst thing you can do the first couple of weeks post surgery. Between the Velpeau and the assortment of velco straps from the hospital supplied device, you'll be able to get your arm, shoulder, back and neck in the proper position.

Nice Sling for it's Purpose
Nice Sling for it's Purpose just be sure to have some help to get it on so it can be adjusted. It takes some practice to put it on yourself

Confining my shoulder
ANOTHER UPDATE: Just wanted to add one more thing. I've been using this now for a month so I'll let you know that this thing stretches out a lot. You'll have to read adjust it constantly. Annoying, but still helps, just is really a pain mow.that it's all stretched out. EMS OF NEW UPDATE: UPDATE: I am still benefitly greatly with this brace. I'm going to add one thing...DONT SLEEP WITH IT ON. I thought it would help, one day it felt so good I didn't put it on during the day. Big Mistate. Wrap around piece was up around my neck. The rest just twisted. END OF UPDATE..I'm currently recovering from knee replacement surgery and in the interim tore my rotator cuff. My shoulder needs a replacement, but I can't have that done until I'm released from knee PT. This brace is a lifesaver. Since I have a complete tear in my shoulder with a couple other ones along with a cyst, your arm dangling free makes the pain horrible by the end of the day. This sling / brace keeps your arm against your body and it also takes the pressure off the hanging of your arm. My size is a medium I'm 5'2 and about 185 lb.. I first ordered the large since I'm not exactly a small person... I don't know if it was mark wrong or not, but that thing was huge, and I mean huge. The medium is perfect. It's exactly what I needed. I'm looking at wearing it for at least another month or so before I get a full shoulder replacement. I recommend this highly. Regular slings don't do anything as far as stopping the hanging pressure of the shoulder and I love the free piece that goes around you, it can tighten and hold everything in place. Some people say they can't get it on by themselves, but after practicing a little bit I managed to figure out how to do it alone. Tricky little thing but practice makes perfect. Recommend.

I bought this sling to support a broken collarbone, and it’s far more comfortable than the basic sling I was given at the hospital. The material is soft and supportive, and the cross-strap design distributes the weight evenly, which has eliminated the strain I was feeling in my trapezius muscle. The chest strap does an excellent job of keeping the shoulder immobile, providing noticeable pain relief. I also really appreciate the built-in pocket—it’s perfect for holding my phone or doctor’s notes. Overall, this sling has made a big difference in comfort and support. I would absolutely give it five stars.

This arm sling was purchased for 80 year old wife who had fallen and broken her shoulder with a subsequent full shoulder replacement surgery. The sling was a game changer in her pain management. The hospital provided sling allowed too much arm movement while this sling is so much better at immobilizing her arm and shoulder. She finds it comfortable enough both during the day and while sleeping at night in her recliner chair. Very much recommended if restricted arm movement is required. It’s also recommended just as a regular sling as it can be worn with or without the wrap around restraining belt.

I underwent rotator cuff repair surgery this month and I am not a fan of the single strap slings. I purchased this and it has been a game changer. It is easy to put on and comfortable while sleeping and throughout the day. The material is also extremely nice. The only issue I have had with this sling is the straps occasionally move around when you move and they need to be adjusted quite a bit, especially if you have a bigger body type, It would be nice if there was extra velcro to prevent this. Other than that, this is the best sling you could ever want for any recovery from surgery.

Fracture tête de l’épaule: malheureusement ce produit ne tient pas le bras donc l’épaule solidement. De plus les bretelles changent de place. Donc, je viens de le retourner et acheter une autre sorte qui me semble mieux. Désolée
