This is a great shower head, best I've ever used in my life, water-saving or not. I'm using it with High Sierra's matching 12" extender for a higher shower head than what was built in to my condo since I'm fairly tall. I wanted the water falling from higher up. After the extension was installed and this shower head, the height is about 6.5' and the angle is better too. I tried both the 1.5 GPM and 1.8 GPM versions of this shower head and the 1.8 works best for me with the height of my shower. Compared to the 1.5, the 1.8 provides less temperature variance across the width of the spray and also less mist in to the shower room getting on the walls. In other words, at this height, just as High Sierra recommends, the 1.8 GPM really works best. It seems to get the more of the warm water on to my body, which makes sense since it provides larger droplets than the 1.5 GPM version. I have not tried the 2.0 GPM version, as 1.8 GPM works perfectly for me. All High Sierra showerheads are EPA WaterSense certified. The WaterSense label ensures that these showerheads provide a satisfactory shower that is equal to or better than conventional showerheads. I like the included trickle valve although it takes away about one inch in height. But you may not realize how much water you're wasting as you lather up with the shower running! It makes so much more sense to turn the water down to just a trickle while doing that and then turn it back on for final rinsing. I initially got one of the more decorative models from the same brand, but I had an issue with the finish on that one within a week. This one is more minimalist in looks but is a performer and seems much sturdier. It's also easier to reach up for the trickle valve than one of the models with a larger shower head. This one is also a bit quieter as the slimmer design is not reflecting the sound towards you as much. That said, I don't find these shower heads too loud, and I'm very sensitive to noise. This is a clean looking, simple and sturdy shower head. Overall, this set-up will save you money on both water bills and also energy bills to heat the water. It could be substantial savings too. I will recommend High Sierra Showerheads to anyone and everyone. USA-built, well engineered and designed products, super reliable and sturdy, yet at the same time the performance is a cut above anything else on the market.

Received it today and just finished the easy install and my !st shower with it. I replaced a old Waterpik Rainfall head with this one and I am really very happy. I love the shutoff valve and certainly used it during my 1st shower. The spray is not as wide however it is perfect with it covering me just right. The pressure is exceptional and I am really glad I happened upon a review on the CNN site that lead me to this gem. It's well made and definitely a great purchase. You won't be disappointed and the delivery was fast as well. UPDATE MARCH 28, 2023 I just had to update my January review because of how much water I have been saving since I installed this shower head. With the trickle valve I am almost compelled to shut off the water during each shower and my water consumption had dropped noticeably. Living in NM saving water is definitely a goal. My showers are much shorter, I am using less water, I am squeaky clean and I am truly loving this shower head! It's a great product at a great price! Give it a try!!

I try to be pretty eco-friendly where I can, but because a morning shower is pretty important to kick off the day right, it's also important to be comfortable. This shower head is a great blend of practical and conservative, and for a great price. FLOW & PRESSURE: As many others have said, this shower is no-frills and no-nonsense - you get one setting, one pressure, that's it. Fortunately, the pressure is great considering the flow is significantly less than that of a typical shower head, and I actually get more pressure than the generic 2.5g head that was installed when we moved into our apartment. NOISE: Others have complained about noise, but I don't think this is an issue at all. It's not silent by any stretch of the imagination, but there's no roar, squeak, vibration or anything else - just the sound of the spray, which to me is no different than any other (non-luxury) head I've used. TRICKLE VALVE (optional): I opted for the trickle valve, which is essentially a shut-off switch to save water when you don't need it. It's a quick button-press and the water comes to a halt, saving just that much more water. I like standing under the water sometimes just to feel the warmth, especially after a long run or day working outside, but there are times when it's not necessary to have the water running, and the trickle valve makes this convenient. The best part is it's really nice not having to fiddle with the temperature to get it just right again - there's no excuse left at that point! SUMMARY: All in all, this is a great product for the price, it works exactly as advertised, and personally I think it looks pretty sharp. I really appreciate products that gets right to the point, and I can tell these guys' investment went into engineering a great product, and not just into the box it comes in. I highly recommend this product, especially for anyone who loves taking long showers - this is a pretty convenient way to take a small step toward reducing water waste (or just saving money on your bill!).

I bought this hoping that I could use it with my low water pressure, but if you have low pressure, the showerhead won't reach a spray, only a drip. The valve feature is convenient though for quick shutoff without changing water temperature. I will keep looking for a showerhead that will only let out very little water so that the water velocity is strong. The product itself is very well made and definitely high quality, just fell short of my expectations when praised for it's use as a low pressure showerhead.

A) it’s so much smaller than I thought it would be! It sits so much closer to the wall, that our little shower cubicle has more room in it now! B) it has a more forceful spray that it feels more wet than the old one. C) the added water savings from pausing the flow is going to add up quickly for us. We have a tankless heater, so I wouldn’t turn off the tap to soap up, else I’d freeze when it turned back on, but the pause function keeps the temperature up, so I don’t mind! Very happy with the purchase.

Works great and saves water without any noticeable pressure drop or any flow issue despite being 1.5 GPM flow rate. Will buy again for other bathrooms.

I tried this last night and am absolutely amazed at the performance. Much more pressure than most shower heads. The spray pattern is heaviest in the center and reduces towards the edge. There is no empty zone in the spray pattern. I purchased the 1.5GPM version.

We went through a lot of showerheads before finding this one. If the package didn't say "low flow" I wouldn't believe it. The output is terrific even with our low pressure. The Trickle Valve has much easier action than our old showerhead, so I can flip the water on and off without worrying that I'm going to pull the whole thing down. This showerhead is small, but very powerful and with an all metal body I think it will last a good many years.
