I assumed that this blade would be used since the Cricut-brand Felt Sampler only specified that the deep cut blade is not required. I contacted Cricut support and they had me use the fine-point blade (the one that comes with the machine) and the "Felt, Wool Bonded". That dug pretty deep into the mat, so I'm not sure that's the best setting, but the felt turned out great.
