This safe is good quality but has no internal light
I am completely satisfied with this safe. It came well packaged, delivered on time and was just the right size. What customers should know is that there is no built in light, however, this would not deter me from buying it again. Safe is built strong and can be firmly fixed to the ground and wall.

Arrived, no damage. Yay!
The Safe arrived this morning in a fantastically sturdy box with handles. There is no damage to the safe that I can see, and I am happy about that. I suggest completing the Set Up BEFORE you stick the Safe in a tight spot. Both the Reset button and Battery Compartment require the door to be open almost all the way to be able to access them. First I had to pop open the key compartment. It is covered by a small plastic cover about an inch across. (It is a cheap and cheesy little piece that will probably end up somewhere else before long, accidentally or on purpose.) Simply press that little plastic piece on the left side and it pops off, revealing the key slot. The Instructions say insert key, make sure it is all the way in, and turn it counterclockwise while also turning the door knob counterclockwise. But for me it was turn the key to the left while turning the knob to the right. I mention this so you don’t feel that prickle of panic if you follow the Instructions without getting the door open the first time. The battery compartment is in the door, so that if the door were full open, you would see the battery compartment just below the Reset button. To open the compartment, slide downward and the front pops off. The batteries were really tricky and did not work for me the first three times..I know, because the next step is pushing the Reset button, and mine was dead. I kept playing with the batteries, but they are an extremely tight fit and I was losing hope when Finally it worked. I heard the beep. Yay! I am already dreading the first time I have to change the batteries, because the compartment is awkward, tight and difficult. Setting the new code was super easy once the batteries kicked in. So now all I have left to do is bolt the safe down with the lag bolts that were included. Update: holes in the bottom of safe fit the included bolts and secured the safe beautifully. The code works perfectly every time... The only trouble I had at first was remembering to press the hash key after entering code. It has been months and the batteries are still going strong. Really good safe, and very good Amazon purchase. UPDATE: I purchased this safe in Feb 23, and here we are in summer ‘25, and still haven’t had to change the batteries. That’s amazing. Update: 2 1/2 years in, and the original batteries are still working great. I highly recommend. Update: The safe has been in for three years and is still operating on the original batteries.

Watch the humidity!
I recently purchased this fireproof safe from Amazon, and overall, I’m very satisfied with it. The build quality feels solid and durable, giving me confidence that my valuables are well protected. It has a good amount of storage space, easily fitting important documents, cash, and small valuables. The locking mechanism works smoothly, and the included backup keys are a nice touch in case of battery failure. One thing to note is that it’s a bit heavy, which is great for security but something to keep in mind if you plan on moving it frequently. Also, the instructions could be clearer, but setup was still manageable. One thing that’s rarely mentioned about safes—but is crucial—is humidity control inside the safe. Because safes are airtight, moisture can build up inside over time, which can lead to mold, mildew, and rust on documents, cash, jewelry, or even firearms. To prevent this, you should use a dehumidifier or silica gel packs inside the safe. If you live in a humid climate, this is even more important. Some high-end safes come with built-in dehumidifiers, but for most, you’ll need to buy one separately. A simple rechargeable silica gel pack can make a huge difference in keeping your valuables in top condition. Most people focus only on fireproofing and security, but protecting items from moisture damage is just as important for long-term storage. Overall, this is a great safe for home use at a reasonable price. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable way to protect their important items.

Exceeded my expectations for price point
Well packaged. Arrived with no problems. Has a UL fire rating. Weighs around 80 or so pounds. Feels solid when installed. Digital lock system easy to program. Interior shelves are good, no cheap clips like some other models. Door hinges are well made. Like the hidden manual lock and emergency 9 v battery access. Single LED light illuminates center compartment when opened primarily. Door swings open 180 as advertised smoothly and quietly. Locking bolts appear well made. Easy to understand set up instructions and took less than 5 minutes to load batteries, install, test codes etc. Has interior boards on doors which will accommodate installation of certain specialty pouches on the larger 26 tall model I bought. Wish they made one with spindle handle. Would buy one at once. However, planning on purchasing another one of these soon. Good value for the price.

Very pleased.
Everything was as advertised. Reliably opens and closes with key, PIN, and finger print. Large enough for what we need but light enough for one person to move into place.

Perfect midsize safe for your valuables.
Perfect size, easily hides away in a closet. Very sturdy and can be mounted to the floor. Good value.

Great safe and easy to set up
Great sturdy safe and easy to use. The box that is was delivered in, had handles so easy to carry another person. One thing they don’t tell you is that it doesn’t come with the 4 AA batteries that it requires.

Frustration
I am upset that the box is not attached like the 2 cubic safe. I need a safe that combines the 2.0 cubic safe that has built in double locked area with the 5.0 cubic floor mounted safe. How disappointing. I will be returning both safes, and my hunt will continue

Low to mid level safe. -fire proof -offers decent protection -door has 4 bolts locking mechanism -key access, emergency battery charge access, and regular PIN code What could’ve been better -knob that opens the safe feels cheap - plastic -walls are thin, I could break into this with an axe -the locking bolts (4 of them) are only on one side of the door, the other side has bent metal, a crow bar can get inside this. Overall it offers decent protection, has decent space inside, this safe will slow down home invaders but not stop them, safe can be broken into easily. Fire proofing seems decent, it’s literally like 4 steel walls and fire proofing drywall panels inside. The door has a fire proofing seam around it. It should protect contents inside for a small fire. For what many of you will use it for it’s not bad, but if you want better protection and a bigger safe just go to your local bass pro shop, or check Canadian tire online. Those safes offer better protection.
