Superb value for money-entry level lightweight tent.
On the basis of superb value and its lightweight qualities I really like this tent. It's now done two trips to Dartmoor UK and one trip in East Anglia. With practice, set up is easy-although have not yet had to contend with a high wind set up. It pays to make one last check up on the straps and guy ropes before retiring to ensure that they are fully tightened. There is just enough room inside and the ability to sit by the vestibule with one flap pinned open and cook is really convenient. The vestibule provides enough space to store equipment. Inside it is not massively spacious but it's enough for one person (although at 1.78m tall there are much bigger people out there). The inner gives adequate protection against any drips from condensation and I have not had any problems with this. As stated, I have not encountered strong winds as yet and would be very cautious about pitching the tent in such conditions. The build quality is fairly budget level (guy ropes and pegs could be better) but I feel confident about the flysheet and groundsheet which have been tested in wet conditions. I use a lightweight piece of bubble silver radiator insulator for the footprint which enhances warmth and helps to protect the fairly thin groundsheet. Overall, this tent is based upon a proven design-it might not be a Hilleborg-but it offers superb value and reduces pack weight quite significantly. This tent is growing on me with every trip that I make. Remember that you do need your own ski pole!

Great kit but requires your own pole
Perfect for backpacking as it packs incredibly small and light, however don’t forget you also need to carry a walking pole or else it will be useless. Which I normally don’t when travelling so, make sure it fits your purpose.

Budget friendly, ultralight and compact tent.
If your looking for huge space then this tent is not for you, however if you want a lightweight and compact tent, on a budget then this is a good tent to start you off, there are cheaper tents out there but they aren’t as ultra light as this. This is a trekking pole tent, like many ultralight tents so at least one pole or a stick measuring 1200mm is required. Easy to set up and very little build up of condensation inside after a nights sleep. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Light, simple, spacious and effective
Edit: now proven ‘in the field’ too. Easily contained me and all my equipment under canvas. Great subdued colour. Very little condensation. My son and I tested this tent overnight in pouring rain and it held up very well. No leaks, a good deal less condensation than id expected, and I think a better pitch could help that. It says a lot that this ‘one man tent’ was able to contain a grown man and an 8 year old and all our kit ‘quite’ comfortably, although I’m looking forward to trying it alone this week. I’m slightly concerned about its robustness, and it did not come with the repair patches as advertised. Standby to an update once I’ve tested this in more rigorous conditions…

Seriously lightweight
I recently purchased the Night Cat 1 tent and overall slightly impressed/ and unimpressed at the same time. Price was good. It’s spacious, so I believe/if I could have pitched it without any guy ropes... For a solo tent, it has a decent vestibule. It’s lightweight and the set up design is probably best learned before you venture into the wild! No guy ropes doesn't help. Ventilation seems good, with a mesh inner that should reduce condensation What I loved: If I could have pitched it... Looks like it could be excellent, but it came with no guy ropes/ I mean none! Which for this style of tent made it as useless as a chocolate tea pot as this type of tent relies entirely on guy ropes for pitching. What needs improving: Missing guy ropes: My tent arrived without any. It would be useless even in calm conditions, I was disappointed to find none included and I'm still waiting on a response as to why. I reiterate, not one guy rope! Floor material is thin, so I plan to use a footprint if and when I get some guy ropes... Final verdict: The Night Cat 1 is a decent value and surprisingly roomy. Just double‑check that guy ropes are included—if not, budget for some replacements. I'm still waiting...

Simple and effective
Great little tent. Works with standard walking poles. Light and very easy to erect.

Wild camping not perfect
Overall tent is good for the price, easy setup and loads of space inside. Enough porch for cooking. Downside is the inner bug net very sloppy and the tent takes no wind at all very flappy even when fully guided out. Probably suits perfectly flat ground, so not always possible in wild camping

Great tent
Lovely tent which was used on a very windy peak district camp. Actually spacious inside great size and even room inside for backpack. Tent is well made and quality. I had no issues with condensation inside.

I am very impressed with this tent. I must admit, it was my backup option as my ordered tent got stuck in customs for too long, so I ordered this one instead. It is easy to pitch, with a reasonably sized vestibule for a backpack and cooking gear. Inside, I easily managed to fit a Sea to Summit large sleeping mat and all my essentials, such as a power bank, toiletries, etc. For the price, it is a real bargain, and I would not hesitate to buy it again if needed.
