They seem to work as I had a hydrometer in one of the boxes and the humidity went down and the beads in the packets changed from orange to blue/green. However, the beads do not change color back to orange after leaving the packets in a 170 degree F oven for 2 hours. They may be recharged but you would not know since the color did not change and you would then not know when to recharge the next time. Two stars because it did seem to work the first time, but otherwise, recharging seems to be a problem.
