Fluidmaster Flush n' Sparkle is a great product for keeping your toilet bowl sanitized -- it releases chlorine into the water with each flush, but without chlorinating the water in the tank which can cause degradation of seals and other parts. Unfortunately, Fluidmaster charges a hefty price for every single refill (needed about every 6 weeks in my experience). Instead, you can refill the Fluidmaster cylinder with 3 of these tablets at a fraction of their cost. You just have to pry the bottom cap off of the cylinder, which is admittedly difficult but worth the effort. I use a screwdriver tip to pry and push the cap off. I removed the foam rubber spacer that's in the Fluidmaster cylinder (not sure what its purpose is), and the cleaning system works just great.

Work well in my hot tub. I put 1 in a floating automated dispenser, and set it to the lowest setting. Each tab lasts a few days.

Seems to work well and fits into my chlorine dispenser well. This is my first time maintaining a pool so I am no expert but to my knowledge, these work well.

Work great

I bought these HTH tablets to use as more affordable refills for the Fluidmaster Flush-n-Sparkle toilet cleaning system. If you are unfamiliar with this system, I would encourage you to investigate it or others like it. I can confirm that four of these 1" chlorine tablets fit perfectly inside the Flush-n-Sparkle cartridge (if you remove the black foam used as a spacer). I just tested my first refilled cartridge with these tablets in the toilet. I can report that the bowl water has more free chlorine than I was getting by refilling with broken fragments of a 3" Clorox toilet cleaning tablet. To refill the cartridge, all I do is cut a slit along the seams on opposite sides of the bottom of the Flush-n-Sparkle cartridge cylinder, pry off the end-cap, discard the black foam, and put four of these tablets inside the cartridge. Replace the end cap and the cartridge is ready to go back into the dispenser. All that is left to discover is how long these tablets last in this application. Very happy so far. Note: The 1.5 lb (0.7 kg) bottle that I received contained 44 tablets. Each tablet weighs just a little over 1/2 oz (0.56 oz) or 15.9 grams. So I expect to get at least 11 refills of the cartridges for this price. Much cheaper and maybe less plastic going to the landfill. ++++++++++ UPDATE: I've used these tabs for a week or so and can say they sure do put a lot more chlorine into the bowl than the refill cartridges from Fluidmaster, at least double. That means there is a noticeable bleach smell near the toilet, which may be a problem for some sensitive users. My wife has not complained yet so I am going to keep using them. Some folks may prefer the cleaner-smelling effect. The tabs are not dissolving too quickly either. Caution: I would be very concerned if we had pets drinking out of the toilets. Also I would not drop these tabs in the top tank without the cleaning system either, as I expect the high chlorine level would aggressively attack the rubber seals. ++++Update May 3, 2024++++ I originally bought a dozen or so Flush-n-Sparkle cartridges. I just refilled about 8 empty cartridges that we have accumulated over the past several months. Each empty cartridge holds 3 or 4 of these HTH 1" tablets. We have 3 toilets and 3 family members, and we are all at home most of the time. I try to check the toilets around the first of each month and replace any cartridges that are mostly empty. (I use a sharpie to write the replacement date on the top of the cartridge to track it. This date is easy to erase later with an alcohol pad. I would say that in our use case, these refilled cartridges are lasting 4 - 5 weeks in each toilet. If there are a few remaining pieces of undissolved tablet in a used cartridge, you can just insert 3 new tablets and crush down the shards. If completely empty, then 4 tablets will fit. I have 7 of the original 44 tablets left, so it is time to reorder more HTH tablets. This is a much more affordable solution for us. ****Update: 01/2026***** I also bought the 5 lb. jug and those tablets were just a tiny bit thicker. This caused a refill reduction from four tablets to three, because four tablets from the 5 lb. container did not fit in the cartridge. Not a big deal, but now I get about a 3 weeks between refills instead of 4 weeks. I change all three of my tanks at the same time, so sometimes not all of the tablets have completely dissolved: there is a remainder. So I use those undissolved pieces next time when I refill cartridges with the three tablets.
