If you want to use the small two pin terminals on a breadboard you will have to put them on side ways for them to work. Other than that they worked out perfectly.

These are great quality, easy to solder on to the board and hold wires very securely

TLDR: Requires ferrules for safety if you are using stranded wire These work well! But I have found they can be hard to use with stranded wire (for example the 18 awg I used in a project recently) unless you wrap with a ferrule because the insert areas aren't very large even if you fully unscrew the terminal. In my experience with cheap 3d printing machines, I learned that it is a unsafe to clamp tinned wire in a screw terminal. If you do that in one of these slots the solder can and will eventually break down under stress, leaving the strands looser in the terminal, and as you know a loose connection can result in a spike in resistance and therefore very high current and therefore heat. Maybe the spring is strong enough to keep the connection strong through this process but I wouldn't want to depend on that. The ender 3 power supply connections are famously built this way and there are documented fires that have occurred as a result. If there were larger gaps that open fully I wouldn't bother with writing this, but am leaving a PSA for safety's sake. I probably would have bought something else if this was documented in the product description or other reviews - it says that it's compatible all the way up to 14 awg but there's no way someone can push stranded 14 awg into these terminals. This unfortunately limits the application a bit if all you have is stranded wire and no crimper + ferrules. So make sure you use in a safe way with solid core stiff wire or ferrules w/stranded wire and they seem to work great.

They worked out very well for what I used them for!! I made them useful for a more precise tap on several electrical taps on electrical test points on Diesel and Automotive applications wher I did not have to lose a spot if I needed to test a certain trouble problem that always seemed to be a problem!! It is now quick to check without more problems!!

Philips slot was off center to the screw. They stripped out before getting tight. Also the contacts hinge shut and pinch the conductor in the back. They do not close completely. Edit: bumped up a star because the seller offered a refund.

I use way too many of these. Be aware that they DO link together but do it before you solder them in!!

This is a basic set of screw terminal blocks for projects. Nothing fancy, they do the job.
