I replaced my bathroom fixtures this year and went through several shower heads trying to find the right one. My requirements were few: a specific color, a specific shape, and an on/off control. For some reason, I found nothing that checked all three boxes. I did find one that was the right shape and color, but it had no control. This little thing solved my problem and checked the third box! Installation was simple. I took the shower head off the hose, added some plumber's putty to the inside and outside of this, screwed the shower head onto it, then screwed the new combo onto the shower hose. It took just a minute. And this works! When I have to pause the flow of water, I move the little lever on this. The water stops and there are no leaks. Then I move the lever back and the water starts again. It's simple and perfect (both the process and the product). I recommend this to anyone who needs to sometimes pause water flow from the shower head and resume it easily.

Worked great and allowed very minute changes in water pressure. Smooth action. Looks great inline with the chrome neck connecting to the water supply and chrome shower head.

I use this lever to control waterflow on a high flow showerhead. Why? Because I live in California and we have issues with drought. Because of this, water conservation is a way of life here. I replaced a low-flow showerhead with my current one, but the previous one had a switch to cut the water flow to a trickle, which is useful for when soaping down and scrubbing away. I have found that with a low flow, even on cold days, the warmth of the smallest amounts of water is enough to keep one warm while scrubbing away. Also, the soap doesn't rinse out of the scrubby with a lower water flow and you can save on body wash. This lever is incredibly smooth and yet has enough tension in the mechanism so there is never a rush of water, just a very gradual increase or decrease of water flow. I've used it every day and it is the same now as it was the day I received it.

decent build quality; easy to operate with 1 hand / 1 thumb; shuts off flow completely with no dribble or leakage. i added this ahead of a multi-pattern handheld shower head. i wanted to have more control while washing dog. i am now able to modulate intensity or shut off flow completely.

Easy to install , works great ! I like how you can turn the water off while showering to save water , and the temperature you have it at . I love how it helps save water . It is worth the money . If you have kids who like to take hour long showers this is for you . Good quality build.

This product is easy to install. It is also easy to start and stop the water flow, however it does cut down the water flow to the shower head when it is fully open.

This *actually* works very well! I expected crap quality, missing parts, and leaky connections - instead I got a nice heavy duty water SHUT OFF valve! It stops the water completely, and is stiff enough - but still easy enough to adjust easily - to hold it's position! My new shower's water pressure was way too high for my shower head, and this has made showering so much more enjoyable and a lot less wasteful! 100% recommend, especially for the price. It certainly came with the tape and grommets (and I just realized that I forgot to install one of the grommets.. oops, but still no leaks hah)
