Secure and unobtrusive with a great design
This is a high-quality, compact steel electric strike that offers excellent function and security without taking up much space. Once installed, it is unobtrusive and has a great design. However, the seller's listing lacks specifications regarding its dimensions, which is essential to review prior to purchase.

The smallest strike I could find
I was looking for the smallest strike that would require the least amount of modification to my door frame. I'm pretty sure this is the one. Like many others, it does have issues releasing if there is any pressure on the latch, or if there is any torque on the mounting plate, but when it's installed *correctly* it gets the job done nicely, and more importantly, discreetly. I'll be picking up two more to finish the project I started.

Seems to be working good.
So far they are working excelling. My only complaint is the location where the wire comes out. It should come out at the "back" of the lock rather than the end. Makes it difficult to avoid screwing through the wire. Have not had to replace one yet, but concerned it may be difficult to replace should a failure happen because of the wire location.

Installed for a client, loved it!
The Seco-Larm SD-991A-D1Q Mini No-Cut Electric Door Strike offers a convenient way to add electronic access control to existing doors with cylindrical locksets without requiring extensive modifications. Its compact design and "no-cut" installation make it relatively easy to install, replacing the existing strike plate. The stainless steel keeper provides durability and resistance to wear. While designed for indoor use, it offers a practical solution for securing interior doors requiring electronic access, though professional installation is recommended for optimal security and functionality.

installed about 3 months ago and so far, they are solid.
I installed into door frames of an old house that's been converted into an office building. The jambs were pretty beaten up. It was not easy to get everything lined so the opening/closing of the door worked every time. One one door, I had to cut out a section of the jamb, insert new wood and cut out a new hole for the latch. However, I did finally manage to all three operational. These are expensive but I couldn't really find anything else on the market.

Great little interior door strike for office or storage doors.
We used these for interior doors like utility closets and business offices in an antique building with nice wood doors and frames. Install is simple 2 wire. So no sensors etc. It is not a deadbolt, so use a class 2 or better door handle. I like to use "classroom' style so the handle can only be unlocked with the key, so this electric strike always works. These are a gem due to not requiring a big hole. Note that to open the door after energizing the strike, you simply push the door, no need to turn the handle. If it binds, pull the door towards you briefly and then push, to allow the latch to release. Awesome item!

Doesn’t stay locked
I installed this device pin my door frame. It was wired 12vdc and used a diode. At times it allows entry but then it hangs open. Yes I removed the power and it did not release. I shorted the wires and it didn’t release. I reconnected it and activated the latch twice and it locked again. It has continued to do this. It is not an issue with the power it mechanically just does not relock at times. I would buy a more expensive door latch before you find you door open when it should be locked.
