I bought this overhead camera arm to use for SpellTable, and so far it’s working great. I’ve only had it for a day, but I haven’t experienced any of the issues mentioned in some of the negative reviews. The overall build quality isn’t the highest-end, but it absolutely gets the job done. It’s sturdy enough and stays in place while holding my DSLR camera without any problems. The included ring light is also plenty bright. For my setup, I’m using sleeved playing cards, and if the ring light is set too bright it can create glare on the cards. To solve that, I turned the ring light brightness down and added a small LED light panel on the opposite side so the lighting is more evenly spread. With that setup, it works really well. I also haven’t had any issues with the arm falling, slipping, or slowly sagging like some reviewers mentioned. I made sure to tighten every joint as much as possible when setting it up, so that might help prevent those problems — or maybe I just got lucky with a good unit. Overall, for the price this is a really good deal and it does exactly what I need it to do.

I bought this camera ring light mount a few months ago so I can have better lighting when doing my nails, and this is the greatest purchase I have made. The light has different settings of brightness, and different light types. The ring light and the camera mount are very easy to move as well if you want a different position or angle.

I bought this to maybe record some crochet videos but instead have been using it as a desk lamp and phone holder and I actually really love it, lol. Absolutely love that I can turn the brightness down on the ring light.

This was frustrating. The table clamp doesn't bite deep enough on any table in my house to get past the gentle curve of the wood at the edge, so it won't mount stably. Unfortunate too, because everything else looks like it would work well, but without this one important feature it's useless to me.

I read the reviews before purchasing this and again I am wondering how we can get such a difference of opinion for the star rating. I watched a lengthy video review and cannot figure out how the man filming got it set up quickly with no wiggling when filming. I watched the videos and was able to set it up quickly including attaching the ring. Then began two weeks of trying it on three different tables, having someone stronger tighten the bolts, and yet, my camera fell out every time and brought the whole thing tumbling down. It either fell off the desk completely or I watched it slowly collapsing before it fell over sideways. My cell phone was obviously too heavy for it as well as too thick for it to be held securely in the mounting bracket. So, I switched to a Samsung A13, a much lighter phone and it stayed in place better but after a few minutes, it wiggled, wobbled, and as I tried to catch it the arms slowly sank to the desk. Defective? I don't think so, maybe just cheaply made. I returned it and bought one with a wider and deeper mount as shown in the photo with the red box around it, and the ruler shows the difference in size to accommodate different model phones. The mounting piece that holds your phone is the most important fact determining whether this will work for you. The second is will the arms stay stretched to the height and spread you need to film without wobbling. I saw so many five star ratings I was determined to set it up and have it be five stars from me as well, but I can’t in good conscience do so. It did not work for me.

This light is a must for the above reasons as it has multiple settings, colors 3 nothing crazy no colors. It has multiple dimming options and an arm attachment for your cell phone for recording that bends. It attaches to edge of a Table and can be powered w a USB. I highly recommend this light because it helped give us light when Beryl came to southern Texas we were w out power for 10 days. We kept our battery chargers for cell phones and electronics charged and this lamp/light worked perfectly to power a light source all night for 8 hours for working and studying even though WIFI and all utilities were out. This is a great addition for anyone who preps for if SHTF and can be used for many hundreds of ways in that way if it came to it. Would like to order one for each room soon to have on hand when power goes out as well as normal use w my daily life to help keep the high electric bills from going up. Very easy to put together and store taken apart. It’s thin enough you can just put vice adapter on table tight and put in area out of way and just plug in USB when need it. It comes w adjustable frame to move many ways snd can definitely see this being great addition for Podcasters, YouTubers and Online Influencers.
