Now I see why more expensive turntables are worth buying. This one is pretty cheap… totally helpful but not the most sturdy. I think a metal one would be AMAZING if I continue to need one. My son recently turned 3 and had a space themed birthday. I wanted to make him a Galaxy cake with swirled frosting. I absolutely suck at frosting cakes so I hoped a turntable would help. This set also came with the spatula/knife things I kept seeing people use on YouTube! I baked my two 6” round cakes and let them cool. I wanted to do a crumb coat to protect it overnight, and hopefully make it easier to frost. The flat white scrapers were great for smoothing out the sides. I used the longer “flat knives” (forgot what they’re called) to spread it out on top. After leaving it in the fridge overnight, I attempted swirling other colors together and smoothed it all out. Honestly, for my first attempt, I think it turned out great! Obviously I need some practice, especially with making the top smooth & crisp. A few things went wrong. The turntable doesn’t turn very smoothly or quickly; it’s really rough and choppy feeling. I had to really push it to get it to turn, and ended up digging into the cake with my scraper a lot. My cake also slid around LIKE CRAZY. Someone told me to put a wet paper towel under the cake. It helped a little but still moved around. I had it on a cardboard cake board. I considered glueing it down with frosting on the turntable… 😅 The tools and accessories all clean up easily. I threw some of the stuff (including the turn table) in the dishwasher. I recommend getting this for the accessories it comes with, and to see if this is something you enjoy using! If you do…. Great! Get a more expensive one later on. If you’re a pro, this will seem like something from the dollar store. Hope this helps! 🎂

Turns smoothly light weight and easy to clean.

- Price is great, Walmart wanted 10$ for just the cake turntable and this was 1$ more and came with the frosting spatula, cake cutter and frosting accessories. -Compact size allows for easy storage -Easy to assemble -All made out of plastic besides the spatula and cutter but seem they will hold up well, handwashing to ensure -Turntable worked great as I placed my glass cake platter on top to frost the cake and stayed put well. Still was easy to spin. -Would make a great gift for someone that enjoys making cakes

I’m no baker, but this cake decorating turntable and utensil set made it easy to create a pretty cool cake for my one-year-old’s birthday. The turntable turned smoothly and easily. I used all of the tools in the kit, including the cutting/trimming tool and everything worked perfectly. This was a great value for the price! Because my first tiered cake decorating experience wasn't a nightmare, I hope to keep practicing using this kit for many more happy cake experiences in the future. 🎂

Product came as ordered. The tools were satisfactory. The turntable was light in weight, plastic and rather cheap. I was concerned that it wouldn’t spin well with a cake on it, but it was fine. Overall, I feel that I got what I paid for. Since I’m a beginner and just an occasional cake decorator, I think it will be fine. But if you decorate cake more, you should definitely buy a sturdier turntable.

Cake cutter could improve in quality as it was cheap and hard to use. Other than that, a wonderful basic cake kit

Bought this for my budding baker, adult daughter. She loves it and has enjoyed using it. She says it’s exactly what she needed to get better results with ease. Quality of the items is very good as well. And price point is very good. Purchasing the items individually would cost significantly more. Photo is of the first (carrot) cake she made using the kit. Not bad!

Needed a turntable. At first I thought the plastic was flimsy. But with cake and fillings on it. It worked just fine.

My wife uses it on a regular bases. Works great even though base is plastic. Still make well and works great. Highly recommend 👌
