Pate de Campagne, perfect serving for one person with cornichons et baguette.

So-so Pate, one can lost its seal (trashed)
The Pate de Champagne is a tad below average. It's not as good as Sells brand for sure, but it's edible. My bigger problem is that I bought a 2-pack to try this brand out and one can is dented and has lost its vacuum. That is unsafe to eat and headed to the trash can. But the price doesn't warrant the trouble for a return. Update: After trying some other brands, I found that this Pate de Champagne is somewhat better than most, although still lacking in being a "very good" rating. While I shall keep searching for better, this pate will fill the gaps.

Horrible taste.
I found it awful very salty. Even my cat would not touch it. However, I was only familiar with a kosher beef pate, which I had to stop eating because of an allergy to nitrates which most people have, but have not been tested for. Nitrates in some of the other brands can produce hives and intense itchiness, and I purchased this brand because it was free of preservatives. I hatd the taste.

Really great French pate
As we cannot travel because of corona, my wife and I talked about how nice it was at about this time of last year, when we were in Bordeaux, France, where we had great pate and cheese with Baguette and red wine. Therefore I had the idea to buy the food we like from Amazon (you get nearly everything there). I love pate and my wife loves French cheese, which I bought for her also here. This pate is really great (only second to the duck foie gras that I also bought). I used to make pate following a French recipe, but it is a lot of work and I am not always in the mood to do it. This pate is great, I can recommend it, but please buy a baguette bread, the ones at WinnDixie and Sams Club area great to go with it.

It's not a spreadable pate.
Don't be fooled by made in France. In America it's just a canned fatty ground pork. Gave me heartburn. Huge disappointment.
