I bought this item in 2023. It is still holding up and has never fallen off of my windshield. My phone stays put, but the mount shakes a little when driving over bumps. My phone never falls out though, and the movement is minimal. The only downside I would say is that two years later, the backside of the mount has melted/fused onto the glass. It is very difficult to try and remove. If I was to take it off, it would be permanently and I would have to use a razor blade to scrape the adhesive material off the windshield. I’ve seen other people with similar mounts, where the adhesive has melted and dripped down their windshield. This mount has NOT done that. In short, this is a durable mount that works. Phone doesn’t fall out, it’s easy to put the phone on the mount and remove. If you want a mount that you can remove/ rearrange frequently, this may not be it. Once this sucker is on for a few months, it’s likely fused real well onto the glass!

actually quite good. ive been using it for over a year and a half now. it has performed very well. I have the suction cup attached to the corner of my dash instrument panel. twice in high heat situations after not using the car for a few days i found it had fallen off, but after re-sticking it continued to work great. my phone has never fallen off while using it, nor sagged or anything. i also have the clip attached to an air vent and have occasionally swapped the phone holder part over to that. its pretty neat. im really happy with this product

Bought this in November 2022 and installed it initially on my windshield. At some point in the spring (2023), when I needed to begin using my reflective sunshade on the windshield, I relocated the mount to the dashboard. I was worried that the suction wouldn't work as well, but it has held up great. It's definitely a little bit wobbly while driving because the arm has to be extended further when the mount is attached to the dash vs. the windshield. Overall, great product for the price. 9/17/24 UPDATE: The summer heat definitely weakened the adhesive, and I had some trouble with this mount falling down. After a while the surface became gunked up with debris and would just not adhere anymore. I almost gave up and bought a new one, but did a quick internet search of how to rehabilitate the adhesive. The videos/articles that came up proved accurate – I was able to wash the suction cup with warm water and soap, let it air dry, and then it was back to working great! After washing, the cup felt completely smooth and devoid of stickiness and I was extremely skeptical. But sure enough, after air drying, the stickiness came back. At this point the clamping mechanism doesn't work 100% of the time (I have to fiddle with it a bit to get it to clamp properly). But for a cheap, modern product, the fact that it has survived almost 2 years now means it gets high marks in my book! 10/11/25 Update: A while back, I ended up installing the flat disc that comes with this directly to my dashboard so now the suction cup adheres to that. It's been securely attached ever since. Still a little janky to clamp it closed, but still working.

I drive a 2011 Prius, and while the CD player still works fine, I have access to a LOT more music on my phone. I previously had one of those clip-into-the-heat-vent dealio's, but - unbeknownst to me! - it was letting the phone "sag" and the audio cord plugged into the lightning connector was slowly wrecking the input port. I got this new clamp, and it works great! Very strong suction to the dash, and the holder clip is equally tough. We have a LOT of deteriorating roads in Michigan, so bangs & bumps are almost a constant; this thing has been attached for over 2 months, and I've never lost my phone. Best of all, the audio cord slides in between the pronged grabby thing on the bottom, so no pressure on the input port!

First off, I am a bit upset that I purchased this product when it was $31, as I do not think it is worth that much! It is now $16, which sounds more reasonable. I feel that it was a rip off to pay over $30 for that. This is my second phone mount. I had purchased another type, which did not last more than 8 months because the suction did not work with the summer heat. So I decided to try another type with this one. I was particularly interested in the vent clip, since the previous suction has melted in the heat. Unfortunately, when I installed it on my car vent, it did not stay and would constantly fall off the vent as I was driving, which was super annoying. It was installed properly though, but it is too flimsy to hold the phone properly. I'd then have to stop and constantly readjust it. In the end, I removed it and have decided to try this thing using the suction instead of the vent clip. I have not used it yet, I just installed it today with the suction, so I'll see how it holds up when driving. As we are going into the summer months though, I think that it'll also melt in the heat. I purchased new sticky pads so that I am prepared to replace them should they melt away. For those of us who live in warmer climates, I'm not sure that it'll last. Overall, I would not buy it again, especially at the price I paid then, which was not right imo.
