As a first time anxious and tired mom, nights were the worst! Even with my baby sleeping in our room just 2 steps away, my anxiety would sky rocket come bed time and the thoughts of: is she ok, is she breathing, is she too cold, what if she rolls to her tummy and gets stuck etc. kept me from falling asleep- by the time I had settled she’d be up again and the whole cycle started over. I can’t tell you how many times I accidentally woke her up during the night placing my hand on her tummy just to make sure it was rising and falling with breath. I saw ads for the sense u but was reluctant, and it took a few months to convince myself to spend the money and give it a try. Wow, was it worth it! One night with the belly monitor clipped to her diaper and my anxiety has lowered. For the first time in 5 months I left her in our room to sleep while I finished up some chores without feeling panicky! Regular monitors help but they don’t do everything this one does. I was able to check on her without opening the door or waking her up! When she rolled to her tummy I got an alert and rolled her back to her back within seconds. With the app I see her position, how many times her belly moves up & down, her temperature, the room temperature & room humidity all at my fingertips and without having to get out of bed. I LOVE this monitor. I know not to rely on it solely, but it helps ease my over cautious mind!

Before buying, I looked at many other popular monitors and sensors. I was looking for something accurate and consistent all throughout the day, especially at night. After reading reviews on several products and comparing, I decided to give Sense-U Baby a try. I’m very happy with the results I’ve been getting. The notifications are on point and not delayed. It detects when our baby is placed on his stomach, sitting, on his back, if the sensor is poorly placed or not wearing it. It also notifies you of temperatures rising above the average level and when they rapidly drop as well. You can monitor the movements per minute and if there’s no movement or very slow movement, it will also alert you. When you remove the sensor while you are changing diapers, it will alert you that either baby’s temperature has dropped or there is low movement detected, so you have to turn of the sensor on your mobile app so it won’t be beeping with alerts while you’re changing diapers. That’s the only thing I didn’t like about it, but it’s very easy to turn it off and turn it back on once you put it back.All these notifications are very accurate and so far have shown no delays. Note that I’ve been using it for one week.The sensor might seem like it can be bothering to the baby, but as long as you place it right, it won’t be. Just make sure you clip it correctly before swaddling your baby because if the sensor rolls to the side or is not making direct contact how it should, you will be getting alerts that it detects poor movement and the app readings will show his temperature correct, but his movement readings will be low. That through me off a bit and I got concerned because everything was reading well, except for the movements, it was dropping. So I had to take his clothes off in the middle of the night and the sensor was by his hips. So just be careful on how you place it.

This thing sucks. If I solely relied on this camera, my child would be in her room, awake, by herself without any knowledge to any of us. I ended up getting a second camera with a regular monitor to use around the house but kept this one so I can take peeks at my sleeping baby while I’m at work. Well, that was short-lived also because this thing never connects to a server. It fails more than it works. When I contacted customer service regarding this, they told me to move my router into the baby’s room, which is not an option for us. What doesn’t make sense is I have about 90 other devices in my house that don’t need a router directly next to them to work. With their logic, I would have a router next to every single device. In their defense, I did not try that, but I have no intentions of keeping a router in my child’s room. I will be most likely purchasing a blink camera and just putting that in my child’s room to see her while I’m at work, because I know they work, and use that next to my basic $30 monitor that I rely on to know when she’s awake.

The monitor works well by giving parents peace of mind during sleep. The monitor sounds an alarm when baby rolls over, temp changes, or abdominal movement isn’t detected. The app is simple to use and I haven’t had any issues using it. The camera is very clear, much better quality than I expected. Camera is not necessary for monitor, but is a nice addition for parents. I wish the clip on monitor was a little easier to slide onto diapers.
