Weller Solder - My Amazon Review
Smooth Flowing, Reliable Solder—Top Quality for Electronics Work This Weller Sn60Pb40 solder wire is exactly what you'd expect from a trusted name—consistent, clean, and easy to work with. The 1.0 mm diameter is great for guitar electronics and general PCB work. It flows smoothly, wets well, and the 2.2% flux core does a great job with minimal cleanup. Perfect for solid joints without the hassle. If you're looking for dependable, pro-grade solder, this stuff delivers. Its always better to spend the extra money on better solder products cause it just makes the job easier.

Melts/sticks and flows like a champ!
This stuff works great! Smooth and easy as it should be. I had ran out of my normal solder and used a roll of Kester from work. Nothing would stick or flow right using that. I’ve been soldering hobby projects for years. The Weller solder got me right back in the zone. Life’s too short to struggle w/ bad solder. Just buy it. It’s good…

Weller 60/40 tin lead solder 1.0 mm
This Weller solder is a good companion for my Weller soldering station. It melts, and flows very nice and smooth. Seems to have just the rite amount of flux in the center so the solder will adhere properly. Excellent product.

63% lead and 37% tin is a better alloy
63/37 is the best alloy because it is a "eutectic" alloy. That means the entire ball of solder you're dealing with tends to melt all at once and then harden all at once. 60/40 kind of eases its way into that all liquid state and then eases back to solid once the soldering tip is removed. So, four stars instead of five. All that said, I've used 60/40 a lot over the years and the alloy is rarely as much a problem as my errors of technique. It's just that 63/37 is more forgiving and easier to work with. So go for the 63/37 if things are otherwise equal.

Ease of use
This solder is amazing. I had problems finding solder to work in ideal conditions and this stuff works in all conditions. First try it took without any issues.

Good Solder for Larger Jobs
Good solder with flux for larger wire to connector applications. Fills solder lug faster than lighter solder. Not for circuit board work.

Just buy it youll be happy
I never had a soldering issue when I was a kid, today I have cold solders, not melting well, not absorbing into wires, so since I have very good soldering skills, i thought my chinease solder must be bad so i forked out the money for this solder. Ahhhh, the good old days of solder doing what it did as a kid. It flows perfectly, makes smooth joints, shines like it should, the melted solder solidifies with the expected contours, and zero cold solder joints. I tested the solder strength and could not pull it apart with a hefty pull. I will never buy another solder, its not worth the failures of cheap solder.

buy it you will never regret it, low heat melting and shiny. works like a charm,

I am very impressed

This is the stuff dreams are made of. Melting point is good, alloy is great, and flow is excellent. It's in direct contrast to cheap Chinese solder, which is outright frustrating to use.

Advertised as lead free, despite the fact the back of the item clearly says it contains lead. Recall this item now. Weller needs to explain why their site has two listings with exact same product type number yet one says its lead free and other contains lead.
