Great price
Nice and cheap! I bought this along with a couple other more spendy tools and this was a good buy. Very flimsy but easy to use. The rotation glides smoothly which you don't always get with cheaper drafting tools.

i bought this for making the circles for MASK making/sewing
Of all the wierd things, i bought this for making the circles for MASK making, as I don't have large dinner plates, and it does the job just fine. Had to play with it to find the correct hole, but after trying to make a cardboard compass, and found this little inexpensive gadget that does the job perfectly, I am happy that I don't have to reinvent the wheel, for the gadget already exists. I wish I had known about these when my kids were little, as they would have been safer than the ones with the sharp spike that ruined many a homework page, and the surface of my dining table. No spike, thus no damage to table. Now the white disc doesn't spin freely, so you will have to sit and work the burs off the wheel, and maybe put a tiny amount of vegetable oil to lubricate the wheel, maybe candle wax would also work. Back in the day, the 1960's we did use candle wax to lubricate sticky metal wetsuit zippers. I find this tool works just awesomely for the purpose that I bought it for...SEWING PATTERN MAKING...

A good value.
This type of compass is easier to use than the traditional kind, not to mention air travel safe. I bought it for my ten-year-old son to replace a Charles Leonard Inc. Ball Bearing Compass, Silver, 12" diameter (1/Sheath) (77360) that he naively packed into the bookcase carry-on. Homeland Security at JFK airport judged him a grave danger to the flight and confiscated his favorite compass. Therefore, he received a replacement without any sharp point from dad. My only gripe is on the center hole where the user is supposed to use a pen to anchor the rotation. It is simply too big. The compass is thus a little wobbly, but at least my kid will not be mistaken as a terrorist for it.

Very easy to use, helpful, and worth it!
I bought one of these from my teacher when I was in middle school and it lasted me 10 years. Lost it (or it was stolen by my roommate before she moved, idk), so I needed another one. This one is exactly like the one I had before except it works better bc my old one used to be difficult to use since the middle circle got deformed and was difficult to turn.

Good product. Instructions are literally a joke!
The product is OK. It's clearly designed to be safe for children to use. But, the instructions I received were laughable and ridiculous! They were printed in mirror image, so they were completely unusable. I had to scan them and then use PhotoShop to create a readable image so I could read the instructions. I wonder what happened? This is a product from a reputable company. Don't they do quality control? I wish I could post a photo of the original instructions so you could see how silly they looked when I opened the package.

Really Really helpful
A lot people write that the print comes off and I’ve been using it quite frequently and so far so good. It has helped a lot and I think I’m love. The only downfall is that it is flimsy, but it does the job well.

works as intended
There is a great youtube video on how to use this to measure out a circle for a color mixing chart for water colors. This is why I purchased this. The video goes into all the nuances of this tool. it is lightweight, stores flat, and can be used in a variety of ways to get mandala layouts.

CHeap, not a good purchase
Very cheaply made. Not at all useful for me in my art work. I ordered a heavier duty one. THis one does not even go around easily when used.

I was looking for a way to draw circles without leaving a mark in the middle of the page from the point of the compass, this was the perfect solution, no more marks ruining my sketches, the ruler doesn't tend to slip but if it does it is easy to put back I the same place, delivery was good it got here a few days before the delivery date and was packaged very well. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone with the same problem.
