Does this work on the Singer Featherweight 221 and 222 models?

Can someone tell me what low shank means?

When I read low shank in the description, I didn't know what it meant either. I went to google. Below is one answer. I have an inexpensive Singer machine about 6 years old and the foot fit perfectly. will this walking foot work on heavy duty Singer machines?

if, by heavy duty you are referring to a singer 15-90 or singer 15-91 the answer is yes. I made my sons and grandson fleece jackets and the walking foot is great when sewing fleece material.

Will this foot work on a Viking Lily 550

Husqvarna Viking is the parent company for Singer. Many of the feet are compatible. Ask your dealer and if they offer you a generic walking foot for about $32, saying it will fit your machine, then yes, this one will likely fit as it is the same thing that they are pulling out of a drawer and selling for a higher price ($32 plus local taxes that is).

Great product

Life is easier with a walking foot to help guide the fabric. I have a Heavy-duty Singer, and it fits well. I've been using it for a long time and one day it stopped working properly so I oiled it and cleaned out the lint and then it started to work again, Great product

Definitely a valuable tool

I had never heard of a walking foot before. As I tried to make my 1st quilt I read it was recommended. I ordered online having never seen or used one. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to install and use and even more impressed with what a difference it made. So glad I chanced it.

This foot was made for walking…

Bought this walking foot a few months back to make a jelly roll rug and I must say, I LOVE THIS FOOT. I have used it on so many other projects. It was definitely worth the cost.
