Does not fit 97 Wrangler TJ out of the box, but after some grinder cuts it's a great upgrade
I'm sorely tempted to remove stars due to a.) the transmission mount doesn't fit a 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ as advertised without significant modification, and b) no installation instructions were provided in the box. However, the instructions are available online, and after a few cuts with my Milwaukee grinder and some paint to keep the cuts from rusting, it all came together beautifully. Apart from the issue with the transmission mount needing to be cut to the right shape, the rest of the build quality is excellent, and I am very happy with the overall solution.Note: You actually have to grind off a bit more than what is shown in the photo, but it should be obvious how much you have to cut away when you position the transmission mount up to the bolts on your transmission (after you've removed the stock mount).

Ok but could be better !
I had to some custom fabricating on the bracket to make it fit on the 4 wheel dr casing . But if you have some skill you can use it otherwise , don’t buy it . The first picture shows there’s a nipple sticking out of the case which the bracket won’t go past to sit flat to attach . But by grinding it down about 1/2” I was able to fit it on . After install what a difference . Works like a charm

Nice Upgrade from the oem debacle.
These version is built well, installs easily and performs much smoother than the oem linkage. Added value is when you need to drop the trany or transfer case you’re not fighting that linkages… just disconnect one cable and you’re done.

Fit straight on
Good quality hardware. Fit straight on without any modifications. (TJ 2004, 4.0L with automatic) Solved my problem that it was always difficult to put in 4WD LO.

This kit is awesome! So smooth. Love it. Easy install even though there's no directions. There's videos out there to look at.
