I spent two days researching air purifiers before deciding on the Coway Airmega and I am so pleased that I did. It is by far the best performing air purifier I have ever owned and features a design which you could easily mistake for something from Apple. Five years ago I purchased my first air purifier and it changed my life, two months ago I purchased this and it had the same effect again. This unit eclipsed my previous one in terms of size and power, and as a result cleans the air so much better. I have recommended the Airmega to everyone I know, either with allergies or without. Pros: + No UV lamp (no evidence these do anything) + No ioniser (now found to be harmful in air purifiers) + Carbon filter (helps to get rid of smells) + HEPA filter + Pre-filter (stops large items like pet hair and can be vacuumed) + Stunning design + Front air quality light (the circle changes colour to show the quality of air) + Feature to disable ALL lights on the unit (including the air quality indicators) + Child lock + Very fast on top speed + Very quiet on silent / sleep mode + Auto mode which detects air quality and adjusts fan speed as necessary + Easy to clean + Focus mode which makes the air output from the front circle instead of upwards from behind + Strong and solid unit which feels much more expensive than it costs + Plays music when you turn it on and off + High quality touch sensitive buttons + Filters last 1 year and are reasonably priced Cons: - I wanted to seem unbiased here but I literally can't think of any.

I don't want to leave a long review other than to say that this does really tick all the boxes you would want from a HEPA air purifier. I haven't had any issues with it. Other than the fact that I do wish the base of the product was wider so that it was more stable. It is stable as it is but it can be knocked over. I carried out extensive research before buying and I do think this offers great value for money and is very effective at curbing my allergies in addition to vacuuming regularly and changing my bed sheets often. It also looks the part and the sleep mode is whisper quiet. It actually performs much better than a dyson at a fraction of the cost, I'd look at video reviews online to see how much Dyson's air purifiers are a rip off in terms of performance when compared to the Coway AirMega and other similar devices. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Although a tad more expensive than other filters they certainly do a good job. Replacing was a simple process and system now up and running.

As the dust levels were becoming a real problem, from my husky, I decided that I needed to get an air purifier. After doing a lot of research, I found that I needed one with a true hepa filter, an active carbon filter and a washable /vacuumable pre-filter and decided that Coway would be my choice of brand and that this particular model would be the best, because of the addition of the active carbon filter and the room size compared to the popular mighty model, which has a cooker hood type carbon filter and not actual charcoal, which this one does. The air purifier arrived very quickly and was very easy to set up. It is so much quieter than I expected, even on turbo. I was previously having to vacuum multiple times a day. Now when I'm vacuuming, it's difficult to find much dust. The air in the room is liken to a window open and it feels so fresh. This appliance has really fixed my problem. Thank you Coway!

I was very happy with my smaller Coway air purifier purchased a couple years ago, so I ordered this one. It arrived in a previously opened box which gave me pause. I did set it up, and the fan made a loud rattling sound like something was loose inside. The sound was made with and without the filters installed. This lead me to think the defective item was potentially previously returned due to the box having been opened before. When attempting a return, there are only options to take it to a drop off point, not any for collection of this large and heavy item. Disappointing product and process.

gutes Gerät,leise, funktioniert einwandfrei . Wir hatten eine Badsanierung nach Wasserschaden (Schimmel und Baustaub). Ohne das Gerät war es sehr unangenehm ,muffige Luft , Juckreitz .Wir haben das Gerät im Schlafzimmer aufgestellt damit wir in Ruhe schlafen konnten, hätten sonst die Wohnung während der Sanierung nicht bewohnen können.

Ho un figlio che soffre di allergia al pelo felino e, nonostante tutti gli accorgimenti igienici e la cura data dal medico, giornalmente aveva starnuti e gola arrossata, da quando mi è venuto in mente di acquistare questo depuratore non ha più avuto problemi. E' un prodotto molto valido, di qualità con un prezzo accessibile ed è molto curato nei dettagli e nell'estetica e soprattutto è silenzioso.

Mes critères de recherches étaient les suivants : consommation en watts, taux de distribution d'air (CADR), sensibilité du capteur de particule, coût et qualité des filtres et niveau de décibels. +++ Consommation de l'appareil testé avec un wattmètre : Une faible consommation : Niveau 1 (normal) : 5.5w Niveau 1 (focus) : 5.2w Niveau 2 : (normal) : 12.5w Niveau 2 (focus) : 9.2w Niveau 3 (normal) : 20.5w Niveau 3 (focus) : 14.2w Silent (normal) : 4.8w Silent (focus): 4.7w Turbo (normal) : 49w Turbo (focus) : 25w +++Puissance d'aspiration : Un bon taux de distribution d'air de 402m3/h selon les données de Coway, qui convient pour une pièce moyenne selon moi. Pour une superficie dépassant les 30m² mieux vaut opter pour le 300s. Le mode "Focus" peut s'avérer utile en fonction de l'emplacement de l'appareil. +++Sensibilité du capteur de particules : Il est possible de régler la sensibilité du capteur avec une manipulation des touches tactiles sur l'appareil. Au réglage "élevé" il est vraiment sensible. J'ai testé avec différents polluants (allumettes, encens, odeur de cuisine, ouverture des fenêtres, passage du chien, aspirateur, huile essentielle etc.…). Il détecte à chaque fois la pollution dans l'air ce qui est rassurant. +++Coût, disponibilité et qualité des filtres : Pré-filtre : Un pré-filtre indépendant de qualité qui s'avère indispensable si vous avez des animaux ou dans une pièce très poussiéreuse. En effet, celui-ci est lavable contrairement à certaines marques ou le pré-filtre est intégré avec les autres ce qui rend impossible le rinçage à l'eau donc moins hygiénique et souvent moins filtrant. +++Filtre à charbon actif : Un filtre en nid d'abeilles contenant des vrais granulés issus de la noix de coco beaucoup plus efficace et durable que les filtres à charbons en fibres de certains purificateurs. Aucunes mauvaises odeurs décelées lors du déballage et de l'utilisation de l'appareil. +++Filtre Hepa : La technologie Coway GreenHEPA et censé capturer et neutraliser davantage de particules nocives que les autres filtres néanmoins il m'est impossible de le tester. Tout repose sur la confiance des études menées par Coway. Quoi qu'il en soit, il dégage aucunes mauvaises odeurs au déballage et lors de l'utilisation de l'appareil. Quant à la disponibilité des filtres, ils sont facilement disponibles sur Amazon, mais à un prix assez élevé. La question est de savoir combien de temps les filtres seront proposés à la vente ? +++Niveau de décibel : L'appareil émet un faible niveau sonore à vitesse faible et moyenne et je n'ai pas remarqué de bourdonnement. En mode turbo ou 3 la soufflerie est clairement audible mais cela reste supportable d'autant que la plupart du temps l'appareil fonctionne à faible ou moyenne vitesse. Le mode veille ou silence est à peine audible donc parfaitement adaptée pour une chambre à coucher. --- : Pas de poignet de transport --- : Légère odeur de plastique lors des premières heures d'utilisation mais ceci est assez courant pour la plupart des purificateurs. L’odeur se dissipe après quelques heures d’utilisation. --- : Le détecteur de lumière en mode « auto » active automatiquement le mode « veille » après quelques minutes dans l’obscurité. Ceci est certes pratique mais pouvoir activer/ désactiver cette option serait un plus pour laisser l’appareil fonctionner en mode "auto" dans l’obscurité sans basculer sur le mode « veille ». En conclusion, pour cette tranche de prix, le Coway airmegajet est clairement un outsider dans sa catégorie. Esthétique, faible en consommation, excellente filtration et certifiée ECARF la qualité de l'air de mon logement c'est clairement amélioré. Intuitif et dépourvu d'options inutiles ce purificateur s'adapte parfaitement à tous les profils. Je recommande !
