Kitchen + Home Food Safety Holder for Any Mandolin Slicer or Grater

I like that I can depend on it to save my fingers from cuts. But it let's go if the last little bit of what ever I'm slicing. This guard is worth the money I spent.

I had a mandolin, but I hated the holder that came with it so much that I wanted to buy a new mandolin. Every mandolin review I read says the same thing: the holder isn’t good. Rather than buy a new mandolin, I bought this holder instead and it’s exactly what was needed. So don’t blame your mandolin, throw away the holder that came with it, and get this one instead. It’s got good, long prongs, and the button allows you to really get a good grip on the food. (I use it for onions.) plus, the sides are big and wide so your entire hand is protected. 6 stars!

If you have a handheld mandoline or a narrow food slicer than this might be too big. It is made for a bigger food slicers. Other than the size I have no complaints. I just don't use it much because my slicers are narrow. When I say narrow I mean 3 to 4 inches width. If your slicer is wider than 4 inches than this may be perfect for you. You can still use on smaller slicers but it kinda of chunky.

It does its job. However, as I got this for my workplace (a restaurant) it fell apart pretty quickly in about a month. Some of that is due to rough handling in a fast paced environment, yes, but pegs start coming out and the plunger at the top starts to break very easy. It is easy to clean and has kept my hands safe, but with how quickly it falls apart, I recommend just looking elsewhere, unfortunately

It’s large to protect your fingers and the prongs work well to hold veggie in place and to push it all the way down so it slices the whole thing! Easy too. It didn’t work so well grating hard cheese or sweet potatoes (but they are harder to grate anyway) but was excellent slicing zucchini, onions and potatoes leaving nothing behind.

Works only for gigantic vegetables, which are the ones I already have no problem holding with my hands

I liked the fact that I no longer have to worry about including my fingers in the salad. It works very well!!!
