Boar Deep Styling Brush

Bought 2 one for me and one for my cat, we both love them! Makes her soft and combs her out, size isn’t too small and the quality is great. Durable handle. I have very thin hair that falls out a lot and it’s helped reduce the loss.

This is a quality product and is definitely worth the price. it helps with my slick backs so much when doing my hair for work. i absolutely love this brush, it’s my favorite!

I already had a boar's hair brush, but I was kind of fed up with the stiff, scratchy hair used in it. It didn't seem to do what boar's hair is supposed to do, and I was -needless to say- frustrated. So using this one has renewed both my comfort in brushing my hair and also my hair's health. For those not in the know, boar's hair acts as a very natural way of restoring and nurturing hair, including longer hair, by distributing oils from the parts of the strands closer to the scalp further down the strands. This acts as both a conditioner and a detangler, as the oils prevent the hair from knotting up. Distributing your natural oils throughout the hair also improves shine and minimizes frizz while enhancing natural curls. These bristles are super soft, making it easier to brush a handful of hair. Here's a tip, do the hair from both the center of your head downward, and from the hairline upward, so that it goes forward a bit. This encourages even distribution of the oils and reduces pulling on the center of the scalp, meaning less thinning over time. Also, try to keep your hair in different ways, rather than the same way, to reduce stress on the follicles. This brush is great for right after a shower, when you're just sitting around and want to do some self-care, or if you need to get your hair in line. I like to brush in the evening to clean the hair of dust and such, after I let it down.

This brush is extremely soft and will not go all the way to hair roots on normal hair. If you're looking for something to give a polish to thin or extra short hair, or for smoothing out just the top layer of normal hair, this would work. I wanted something sturdier that massaged my scalp as I brushed, and this did not do it.

My cats love being brushed with these brushes. The bristles are just the right length and stiffness for short-haired cats to really enjoy being brushed with, and they do a good job at collecting loose fur during shedding season. The brush is also cheap enough that each cat can have their own and not have to share smells. The only real weakness I've found is that the bristles are fairly easy to pull out. That, and the much higher price if you buy direct from Amazon, rather than ordering with grocery delivery thru Whole Foods.
