Bought to replace "stock" sticks that come with Alesis Nitro drum kit. These birch sticks have little more heft which gives a little more snap back on mesh heads. The finish is smooth but not glassy - grips just right. Also, American made if you're into that.

I HAVE BEEN A REGAL TIP GUY FOR OVER 20 YEARS. RECENTLY THE STICKS THAT I HAVE BEEN GETTING WERE NOT STRAIGHT. I E-MAILED REGAL & GOT NO REPLY . CALLED THEM & GOT NO REPLY. MY DAUGHTER BOUGHT ME A PAIR OF THESE WONDERFUL STICKS. THEY FEEL SO NICE IN YOUR HANDS. BECAUSE OF THE DIPP THEY DON'T FLY OUT OF YOUR HANDS WHEN YOU START TO SWEAT,& I SWEAT A LOT BEING A METAL DRUMMER. THEY HOLD UP REALLY NICE & MOST OF ALL THEY ARE GUARANTEED STRAIGHT. GET SOME OF THESE YOU WON'T BE SORRY. OH YEAH, CALLED REGAL & TOLD THEM, THEY JUST LOST A 20 YEAR COSTUMER.

I produce music, mostly Heavy Metal but I do tracks for Documentaries and other genres of music so having an Electric set is essential for me in order to get different sounding drums without a lot of set up. I play other instruments but on average I spend 4-6 hours a week behind the drums. My kit is a mixture of solid and mesh pads. So, I saw a video on these Zildjian Anti-Vibes and thought this could be a gimmick but I tried them anyhow. WOooOW! I am glad I did. I play with a heavy nylon stick, (.625" dia 16.5" length) so the 5Bs were really close to what I was used to. First... The vibration is really taken away with these sticks. My solid rubber pads feel like regular drum heads, not like hitting a rubber brick with a regular stick. The mesh heads felt even softer. Second… The rebound, or l would say the bad rebound is not there as much. When you hit those solid rubber pads they seem to snap back. With these sticks that doesn’t happen as much. You have a more controllable rebound. Drum rolls sound cleaner. Third… The more I played with these sticks I noticed something. I thought it was my imagination at first but I soon found my playing sounded better. Then I realized that because the bad rebound was gone the pad triggering was more precise, there weren’t any unwanted false triggers. False triggering won’t allow the whole sample file to play. Instead of a clean hit you hear a slur, some what like a DJ scratching a record. Like snar-snar-snar- snaredrum. Now I can’t guarantee you will have the same results I did. And I don’t think these sticks would work as well on an acoustic set. But... I will never play an Electric set again without these Anti-Vibe sticks. Note: I did find myself having to readjust the sensitivities of some of the pads. And I did tighten up the mesh heads to make them feel the same as the rubber pads, more snap.

These are just great. Look and feel amazing and true to size. I am not a fan of plastic tip drumsticks and prefer the classic wood tip. I've used these same sticks through 3 different shows and they haven't broken despite me being a rather hard hitting drummer. Highly recommend. Wood is soft and smooth without a lacquered finish which causes additional callousing in my opinion.

Great sticks that I bought specifically for my Roland TD 17kvx. They are light, made with quality, offer a great flex when struck on the mesh heads.
