Fits like a glove!
I got this grip within 12 hrs thru Amazon and while it fits perfect and improved the shoot-ability of my Airweight, I'm debating switching back to the stock grips. The reason is the palm swell creates a hot spot on my thigh when I pocket carry. I'm trying to find an alternate method of carrying because i really like these grips! The Hogue grips protects my finger from being banged up by the trigger guard and the palm swells fills my hand better. I followed the instructions to the letter and it made for an easy installation. You must make sure the roll pin is centered on the frame or else you will end up with a gap. A good amount of force is requried to install the grips but not bad at all.

Excellent product and a fine value
Outstanding grip for a S&W 442. I just purchased this new revolver for my wife and immediately decided to change the grips to a Hogue, as they have always served me well. The Hogue has a more friendly texture and the additional indentation for the strong hand middle finger makes a huge difference, especially for a smaller hand. The .38 spl is a nippy round for a lightweight handgun and any extra grip traction is welcomed. A footnote: the latest 442 factory two-piece grips are held in place with a hex screw, which is not shown in the Hogue instructions...a H3/32 bit fits perfectly. The new grip is quite pliable, so installing it is a breeze. The little "tool" will help. but is not necessary. However, Keep the "tool", as it will be valuable for removing the Hogue grip for internal cleaning later on. It is easy to slip the grip pins into the internal guide grooves and rotate the grip upward. It snaps in place as per the instructions and the grip fits the gun seamlessly and looks terrific. I highly recommend this upgrade to your 442.

Great update
This is an awesome replacement for the standard grip. It makes it easier for me to hold and fire.

Great product! Super fast delivery.
I ordered this grip as an inexpensive "boot" type grip, just to try, before committing to a nice 70-100 dollar set of wood grips. My j frame came with crimson trace laser ones that allowed for a 3 finger purchase, where this grip provides the what I feel is the more customary and compact, 2 finger hold on a J-frame revolver. I am really impressed with the quality, design and fit of these grips! In my galco pocket holster, the slightly tacky surface helps the snubby stay in my jeans when laying back or rolling around on the ground. My old Taurus 85 (a very similar snub) with eagle wood grips could fall out, never good. Having read people's reviews saying the tacky surface some how interfered with the draw is surprising because my less than big hand covers every bit of the grip. It fits me well, is comfortable and I actually do better with DA shooting on these. Not sure why I would ever need anything else. Still, I like the traditional wood. I fear that by succumbing to tradition, I will have a grip that is not as good and I know I will have spent a LOT more money. Bravo Hogue!

Can’t go wrong with this. S&W J frame fit.
S&W 360PD perfect fit. Sticks right on to my skin between boxers, no holster needed. Feels much more secure in the hand when gripping it too. Pinky is out but good hold.

Fit is great, but I have concerns
Installation was a little difficult but I just had to use the little pry tool twice and then just wiggled it up until the pin set in. Fitment and texture feels better than the oem grip; the rubber material feels firmer and the cobblestone texture does cling to my hand. Only big negative is that removing these is also probably going to be difficult and you might damage the grips. There is a note in the manual that says removing these grips and doing maintance is unecessary. A smaller complaint would be that even though these grips give more clearence to use speed loaders, the H&K speedloaders I use still tend to stick a bit so it's kinda finnicky. These grips are a very good value if you want the cheapest replacement for the oem grips

Comfortable and effective.
Just looking at the grip, I didn't expect anything notable. Just another rubber grip. I was wrong. I just wanted a smaller, more concealable grip than what was on my S&W 360. This fit the bill and was inexpensive, so I gave it a try. I was surprised to find that the grips are very comfortable and absorb the recoil of full bore 357 quite well. The "pebble" texture on the grips works very well and keeps the gun stuck to my palm. The installation was straight forward and simple. I have only put about 50 rounds through the revolver since putting the grips on, but so far the fastener-less method of installation has not shifted or loosened. Overall, I am surprisingly pleased with the grips. As long as you are looking for a set of concealable utilitarian grips, I don't think you could find a better set at a better price.

Doesn't fit my J Frame...
I bought this mainly to have a better grip for my S&W 642, but when I tried to install it with the supplied wedge tool, it was very hard to get it on. The product said that it was easy to install, but I disagree on that part. Also, when I try to get it all the way in, it was a very loose fit. It didn't even "Snap Into Place" like it said it would. The ergonomics and feel of the grip did not make any significant change than the stock grips. They are literally the same grips, but just styled differently. After I try to take it off, I saw "shredded rubber" on the inside part of the grips which makes sense knowing that these grips are cheap. My 2 cents would be to stick with the stock grips that come with the gun already since they are easy to take on and off the gun without any hassle with tools and they are nearly perfect for the gun to begin with...
