This is a powerful herb and works very well. I took it for a few weeks to cool down my body that seemed to always be on fire; I was sweating like crazy morning and night due to menopause. This herb stopped the heat and the sweat in its tracks and I could sleep and not be miserable anymore. Only problem is it caused my blood pressure to rise because it also causes you to retain water. I could keep a good balance if I also added an herbal diuretic but could not get used to the headache of my blood pressure rising and falling, so I stopped taking it. If you use it for short periods of time then the blood pressure thing might not be a big problem, unfortunately it works so well that I wanted to take it all the time. It really does deserve five stars because everyone knows it causes the BP to rise, not the herb's fault but it does happen, and I'm too disappointed about having to stop to give it five stars. I'm now sweating like a pig again. Sigh.

My naturopath doctor recommended I buy this to help fix my night time inappropriate Cortisol surges.I took it for 3 months, and felt so much better with Cortisol levels in the AM, instead of coursing at night causing insomnia, racing/pounding heart, and inability to stay asleep.That was a year ago.I just purchased this again because after a stressful move, a Hospitalization, and some other stressful events in my life, my Cortisol started up again at night time. I’m on day 4 of taking this Licorice Extract, and I’m already sleeping better at night.This stuff truly works! I take it as soon as I open my eyes, and again around noon.

I used to take now licorice for my adrenal fatigue. I ran out but forgot to re order it and noticed i was feeling horrible. I was about ready to order the now brand and I came across this brand. I gave it a shot and I am glad i did. I really notice a difference in my energy and mental fogginess when i take this product. the only downside is it is hard to dispense every day. I get a dropper bottle and pour it into the dropper bottle and then take 1 dropper per day. 1 dropper = 1/8th tsp per serving size. This saves me a lot of time when trying to take this product in the morning.

I am hard pressed to find pure extracts. My ND referred my to Wise Woman Herbals ages ago. They take great care to source the best natural medicines. I have used their slippery elm bark powder, licorice root, mullein and garlic for ear infections, etc. So many distributors put other ingredients in, but having MCAS and allergies, I cannot tolerate them. Wise Woman lives up to their name, providing clean, pure, potent, simple products that I have no worries about incorporating into my regimen.

I was a little concerned what was in the bottle because they’re actually was no dropper . I think that’s what started my concern.
