I don't recommend you do what I do, I know it is dangerous. But, those times I just need to nudge a logo to keep the fire going, I just put these on and piece of cake. These do a very good job for protecting against heat. The length is perfect for added protection, and you can tell this is quality constructed. I had a previous pair that lasted a long while, and decided it was time for replacement. These are a definite up-grade.

The idea of “one-size-fits-most” is pretty simple. Make the gloves big enough that everyone can get their hands in them. It doesn’t mean, if you have small, dainty hands like my wife, that the glove will, well, ‘fit like a glove.’ It's accurate to say these gloves fit most folks. In spite of the gloves being very large for my wife’s small hands, she still loves them. We use these gloves for firewood, so she loves the long sleeve that helps keep her shirt sleeve clean from soot, ash, and the snags from firewood. She also likes the idea that the gloves are insulated and heat resistant. This says more about the gloves we’ve been using for firewood than anything else. If you use your dad’s old garage gloves for firewood, it’s time to upgrade to this excellent pair of firewood gloves. I’ve been using regular suede leather gloves with no insulation for years. Funny how sparks and hot metal seem to find the little hole in that pair of gloves. I would consider my hands to be medium-large by most standards. My palm circumference is 8.5”. And from where my palm meets my wrist to the tip of my middle finger is about 8”. I would consider my fingers to be on the boney side (though I wouldn’t be concerned if you have more meaty fingers since there seems to be ample room in there). With that, the gloves feel slightly large for me. There is no constriction at all on any finger or the palm of the glove. The finger length seems pretty good on the middle finger (I measure about 3.5” from the crease on the inside where my palm meets my finger to the tip of my finger and my finger doesn’t touch the tip of the glove but is close). The other fingers there seems to be some room (which is typical for most gloves on my hands at least). If you have large hands, these gloves should be good to go. Extra large? Hold on to your receipt!

These gloves appear well stitched and work as expected - like decorative welding gloves. Be aware that they are sized as around XL - the fingers are a good 3/4" longer than my old pair of fireplace gloves, so there's not much dexterity in using them if your hands are smaller. Then again, one doesn't need much individual finger motion to move glowing orange logs about in a burning fireplace, which these gloves allow quite handily. I don't use gloves for grilling myself, but if you wish to do so, a lighter weight glove may be more appropriate, YMMV.

These gloves are fantastic. Easy to grip hot items and maintain control of them without getting burned. Much better than gloves that only protect you for a few seconds. Wish I had bought these first. I bake a lot and theses are the only gloves that I will ever use.

Offers excellent protection for hands, wrists, and forearms --particularly if you need to reach inside a fireplace or stove (you still need to be careful!). They are quite durable and heat resistant. I have average/large hands and these fit fine. I recommend this product

These are awesome! It is my second pair. I bought them again because the first pair was totally durable and protected my rather large hands from burning whether I was grilling or taking a roast from the oven. And I didn’t have to buy a new pair because the first pair was worn out… I hand been too messy … they were dirty beyond cleaning.

I recently bought a Kamado BBQ the thing is amazing we barely use the oven now, however one thing is you need to move about some of the shelves/heat deflectors if you are doing certain foods, i.e. a reverse seared Tomahawk steak or the likes. Thus meaning you need to juggle a lovely hot piece of metal or ceramic deflector. However with these I can grab them and shift them about with no dramas at all. I have never tested how long i could hold anything for but i have had very hot bbq grills in these gloves for probably upto 60 seconds and not burnt myself once. They perform far better than any other bbq glove i have ever had and i will buy them again in a heartbeat once the current pair have shown signs of wear. So far they are still like new minus the odd grease mark etc .

This was recommend by a BBQ pit-master, and after a few trials in the desert can confidently state that these welding gloves offer expert protection from red-hot charcoal -- or when handling other items on the grill. Now used also indoors, when handling items above 180C. Our previously oven-glove purchase does not offer sufficient protection when handling items that are in the range 200-260C. These new leather forge welding gloves achieve this level of protection. Awesome purchase. Great value & quality for the money.
