Using it on my evaporator core for my air conditioner is a sacrificial anoid electrolysis takes place and because the evaporator core is damp it tends to develop corrosion. Hopefully this will help in the future. Think it's worth a try. They put these on everything from boats to fuel tanks to lower units on boat motors to stop this type of a problem
