The tool itself feels very solid and heavy with a polished steel finish. The edges around one side of the interior handle are a little rough with all other edges smooth. The exterior edges come to a nice beveled edge that slide over skin fairly easy to provide a good massage. The end point spheres look like they were welded on but also feel solid. There are no included paper instructions but there are instructions on this listing on the techniques for different areas.
