Great Product! Works well and was needed for a design that ended up looking great!

I bought this clock for $12.99. The first word in the title is "Silent," yet it is not. And I don't mean it's not silent in that if you put your ear right next to it in a totally silent room you can hear a slight tick; I mean it is easily audible from the next room over. The clock is DEFINITELY not silent, and therefore gets one star for misleading description.If the clock was as advertised, I would perhaps give three stars. It is an attractive design, even though some peoples' reviews conflate the lightweight profile with being flimsy or cheap. It looks great on my wall, as I paired it with the numbers and tick marks from this clock ( https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MR0QTEN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ).My primary complaint is that the only hanging mechanism it came with is a small hole drilled in the top, presumably to hang on a hook or nail. However, there are no options for mounting on a non-vertical wall, so to mount it on a slanted ceiling like I did, I had to modify it myself. To do this, I glued two keyhole hangers to layers of cardboard to the back of the clock, so that I could hang it on an inclined plane.However, if you are looking for a clock that won't irritate you while you sleep, listen to music, or just try to sit and read or enjoy the peace, this deceptively advertised item is NOT for you.

Excellent fit easy to assemble and works perfectly

FUNCTIONI have had this product for about a week and so far it has kept time pretty well. It isn't silent but it is pretty quiet. With the normal background noise in my apartment I can hear the clock ticking at a maximum of about five feet (1.5 meters). That said, I have never actually noticed it ticking when I wasn't listening for it.QUALITY- The hands and casing are a cheap thin metal and are easily bent if you are not careful. I wont hold this too much against the manufacture though, these hands are quite large and you can only get so much out of a single AA battery.- One thing I like about this clock is that it doesn't rely on large projections on the back of the hands as counterbalances. Instead they glue thicker chunks of metal to the underside of the back of the hands.- The biggest problem on mine is that the paint job isn't great. In my pictures you can see there is a scratch on the back of the minute hand.SHIPPING & ASSEMBLYThe packing wasn't great but I guess it worked. The only instructions for assembly are a brief three step summary on the outside of the box. Assembling the product isn't difficult, all you have to do is:1. Unscrew and remove the brass colored cap from the top of the shaft.2. Shove the hour hand down over the white part at the bottom of the shaft. It takes some pressure, don't bent the hand.3. Set the minute hand properly over, and lined up with, the narrow part of the top of the shaft, resting on the lip.4. Screw the cap back on fairly tightly to keep the minute hand from wobbling.5. Spin the hands past each other using the wheel on the back of the clock to make sure they don't collide. Gently flex the hands away from each other if they do.

It said to place the numbers on the plate (no numbers included) then the side was scratched like a coin rubbed it then on the second hand like a sticker was removed and dirty sticky stuck and finally I had to bend the flimsy second hand so it wouldn't get stuck on the hour hand.

I enjoy my custom built clock and the "movement kit" made it all possible. I was looking for an oversized clock movement and found this. It works great.

Love it! Quiet, holds up well and looks nice.

This is not what I expected. The material is very thin it was bent when I first got it. And does not keep time properly. Would not buy again or suggest anyone buy it, if could give it to zero Stars I would.
