Help Your Kids with Science

I love the “help your kids with” series. They are perfect for 3rd-5th grade. It’s a quick, detailed explanation with good illustration. I highly recommend for homeschool or for kids interested in extra reading.

Love this book-I am a High School Biology teacher and like to keep various non-text book books in my class room to help students who may be struggling with the concepts. This book has a great layout and wonderful pictures to aid in understanding and is easy to read even for students who may struggle with reading.

The "Help Your kids" series on Math, Language and Science is an excellent resource. We initially came across these in Sams club where we bought the Math and Language ones. The Science one was not available in Sams and we ordered it through Amazon. The quality of the material is excellent. Topics are covered in a concise fashion but not that brief either. We really liked the coverage of all the different topics.

This book has great illustrations, yet many of the terms are still unclear to children. Its attempt to remain basic in terminology and concepts is evident, however the execution is still confusing to children, and even adults.

This is a good outline for an independent and/or group study. I purchased thinking it might be for my younger daughter but it really has a lot of deep topics for older kiddos (middle school range, I would say). My daughter is a 7th grade homeschooler and uses it as a guideline for her independent study in science. Great illustrations.

I have purchased a lab set of this book. Great basic resource

I ordered this to help me and my grandson with his science class. It is done very well with simple to understand areas he is learning this year.

This is a good overview of a broad array of science topics. It provides concise facts with engaging graphics. Not a comprehensive treatment, but interesting enough to encourage further study through Google or Khan Academy. A good primer for adults as well. Graphics and presentation make it engaging.
