Ordered this product because of policy of no use of real knives in the building for BSA activities. It definitely got the job done. Perfect for little fingers and safe keeping. Function of a real knife with the added comfort of safety. I will say the kids had to use quite a bit of force to cut through a cucumber (with skin on). Other than that, it was very easy and the kids had fun competing their activities while also getting real hands on knife experience.

My 3yr old daughter always wants to help me when I am preparing dinner. I was always hesitant because I didn't want her to get hurt when cutting up vegetables or fruits with regular knives or when cooking on the stove. She really just wanted to be apart of the action and help. These knives are perfect they allow her to slice soft veggies like cucumbers and zucchini for our meal prep and keep her fingers safe. She loves the little punch shapes to cut out fun shapes from watermelon and other fruits, but have a stick on hand to get them out of the cutter. It all helps to keep her focused and busy so you can keep her away from the more dangerous parts of the cooking process. If you have a helper in the kitchen this set is perfect to give them a way to safely participate in the meal prep.

Bought over a month ago and kids still use these nylon knives DAILY!!!!! It’s the only gift and least expensive thing I bought for a birthday last month and this is seriously the only thing she uses everyday Highly recommend for young chefs learning independence and knife skills Completely safe for 4 and 8 year old to cut their own food and make snacks for everyone I would buy this for any kid I would say 2-10

Started our 3yo off with the green handled chopper and she's grown into all the knives by age 4.5. The set is a little overwhelming but the extras are fun. We love the little cutting board, too.
