ran out .003. Guess you still have to buy American or German for $500 if you need real precision.

Not the best.
The main spindle was out of round by around .0003. The base was not perfectly parallel to the centerline of the spindle, and the face was not square to the base. It is going to take a lot of work to make it usable. There is about .003 to .004 thousands play in the spindle bore, allowing the spindle to tip.
