YoLink Smart Power Fail Alarm, AC Power Outage Alert, LoRa Long-Range Wireless, Remote Monitoring, App Alerts, Text/SMS, Email Alerts, YoLink Hub Required!

This Yolink power failure alarm is very easy to set up compared to other competitors products and works seamlessly with the hub. Functions are very configurable through the app for example the audible warning, push notifications and e mails.

We now have several Yolink devices. This power failure alarm/alert and several water leak detection devices. We use 2 hubs in two different buildings. I installed the power failure alarm as we have, in the past, had power failures during the late night and have slept several hours while everything was shut down. I don't like this. If the power goes off I want to know that some of our systems (internet, lights, freezers, refrigerator, AC/Heat) are down and also take some precaution for electrical surges when the power comes back up. We have had this device for a few months and during that time lost power and had the loud audible alarm wake us up and send us messages regarding the outage. (without power we get "offline" indications) Provides peace of mind. I like the devices we have used so far from Yolink. They seem to have good quality and function just as they are advertised.

I HAVE 4 OF THESE POWER ALARMS DEVICES. HAS LONG AS THEY ARE CONNECTED TO THE HUB AND YOU HAVE INTERNET THEY WORK VERY WELL. I ALWAYS GOT A NOTIFICATION IN MY EMAIL AND TEXT. ALSO IF THE INTERNET GO DOWN I GET AN ALERT THAT THE HUB IS OFF LINE, AND ANOTHER ALERT WHEN THE HUB IS BACK ONLINE. I ALSO HAVE THE WATER DETECTOR IN MY SAILBOAT BILGE COMPARTMENT IF THERE IS WATER RAISING IN THE BILGE I GET AN ALERT. TOTALLY AWESOME PRODUCT!!!!!

In case anyone wants to silence the siren on this like I did, peel off the 4 little rubber feet, unscrew the 4 hidden screws, pull the top and bottom apart, and then just snip the red and black wires going to the siren. Put it all back together and voila, you have a silent power outage detector. If you ever want to un-silence the siren, you can solder the wires back onto the board. While this workaround is quite simple, I don't understand why YoLink, as well as most of the other brands I've researched, don't include an easy option to silence the siren on these power outage detectors. I don't want to bother my neighbors with a loud siren. I just want to receive alerts if the power goes out. The best you can do without taking the thing apart is to set the siren to the shortest time possible: 10 seconds. Bafflingly, the app does have an option labeled "mute," but I have no idea what the mute option does--it certainly does not mute the siren. Aside from this, the detector work as described. Hopefully it will hold up better than my old one (MySpool, which did have a silent siren option but also began sending me multiple false alarms on a daily basis after a few months).

Like everything else I’ve bought from YoLink, this device was a very quick and easy setup and works perfectly. It almost instantly gives a power fail alert. Just have to be sure that the hub and your wifi and router don’t lose power at the same time, or are equipped with battery backup. My only suggestion is a way to turn off the local alarm at the unit. It is overly loud and obnoxious. A plus in some uses but in my case I needed it silent so I had to take it apart to disconnect a wire.

Works great, easy to attach to the yolink app. I have a backup generator that does not connect to wifi. when I'm away this lets me know when normal power is off and when it is restored. The only draw back, it has a built-in audible alarm that can be turned down but not off, not a big deal just depends on were you install it as to whether it bothers you. On the app it can be set to cut off after as little as 10 seconds.

I have been looking for a power failure detection system for awhile and there are not too many available. I had installed the YoLink temperature sensors in my several refrigerators/freezers after having one of the machines fail while I was out of town and no one noticed for about a week. When I saw that YoLink also has a power failure alarm I jumped on it due to price and ease of installation. I have not had a failure yet but when testing it worked well so I am pretty confident it will work when I need it. Note you do need a YoLink hub to use this, but one hub covers all their various sensors and the hub is not that expensive. YoLink does not conform to the various automation systems like Z-Wave, Zigbee, SmartThings, Matter, etc, but unlike some of the above YoLink sets up easy and works very well with excellent battery life in the sensors and has excellent signal strength so sensors can be installed some distance from the hub and inside steel boxes and still function. You can connect it to Alexis, Google and others but I have not done this yet.

Easy setup. Tested by flipping the breaker to the outlet I had it connected to, and it correctly alarmed and then notified me once power was restored. Supplied power cable could be longer, but I had many others lying around that worked for my purpose.

Easy to setup and works great. When there is a power outage on the circuit that my refrigerator is on, I get an email and text message. And another when the power is restored. Note: it is important to have your WiFi router and hub on a UPS.

Realmente cumple con su funcion, y en esta nueva version de la app, esta la posibilidad de poder silenciarlo cuando se va la luz lo cual es realmente gratificante ya que anteriormente no estaba disponible. El unico detalle es que necesita un hub para que te avise cuando se va la luz, esa seria su unica desventaja y hasta parecer ser que lo hicieron a proposito para comprar esta funcion por separado.

I recently purchased this smart device that is supposed to alert you if the power is switched off in your home or office. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The device requires a separate hub to connect to the internet, which they also sell. However, the hub does not have a backup battery installed. This design flaw is critical. When the power goes out, the hub loses power too, severing its internet connection and rendering it unable to notify you of the power loss. This defeats the entire purpose of the device! It is utterly counterproductive and makes no sense at all. How can a power loss alert system fail to consider that it needs to stay powered to send an alert? This oversight makes the device completely unreliable and a waste of money. I'm returning it and find it unbelievable that the manufacturer didn't consider such a basic and logical approach to the technology. Without a backup battery for the hub, the device fails to perform its primary function. Save your money and avoid this product.

It works perfectly! If something happens to the breaker that will prevent my sump pump from running (tripping or black out), I will be immediately informed thru the app (and/or email). I also bought another one to monitor my UV lamp to sterilize my water well. Great product!

きちんとしたパッケージに入ったちゃんとした商品(製品)です。その点、怪しい中華メーカー製の家電とは違います。 停電になった場合に、自動的に瞬時に自分のケータイへ、アプリとメールとSMSで三重に通知されますので、安心です。 なお、販売サイトの説明では、インターネットのハブに直接有線で接続するので信頼性のアドバンテージが高いみたいなことが書かれていましたが、本体の説明書を見るとWi-Fi接続も可能であるようです。 ですが、自分は有線接続するだけにしておきました。繋ぐだけですから非常に簡単です。 なお、説明書にも書かれていましたが、このYoLinkハブとインターネットのハブ(正確に言うとルータも)は、無停電装置(UPS)の電源に繋ぐ必要がありますので注意してください。(でないと、停電時にインターネットのハブやルータが落ちてしまうと、警報を発しようにもネットが使えないという状況になるのは自明ですから、必然的にUPSが必要です。)。 説明書は全て英語ですが、高校レベルの英語力があれば読解に問題はありません。わからなければ翻訳アプリを使えば良いだけです。 専用アプリをインストールして、説明書どおりハブとアラームを接続して登録すればOKで、設定は直感的にでき、比較的簡単です。 停電時に自動的にSMSを送る設定がちょっと難しかったです。停電アラームの設定からではなく、アプリのホームの設定画面から電話番号を登録しておかないと、SMS送信の選択肢がONになりません。また、電話番号の入力も、国の選択肢の中に日本国旗が出てこないので混乱しますが、普通に国際電話をかける時の番号を入力すれば大丈夫です。 ただSMSの送信はコストがかかるとのことで、1ヶ月に15通が限界です。 また、メールの数にもSMSほどではないにせよ限度があるようです。 クラウドのサーバはアメリカにあるようですから、中国や韓国にあるよりマシで安心だと思います。 停電アラーム以外にもいろんな種類のアラームを扱っている大手メーカーであるようですから、その点でも安心感が違いますし、ハブさえあれば他の用途でセンサーを追加することもできるのは面白いでしょう。 急な停電で困ることはあるのに、何で日本国内では似たような商品が無いのでしょう。 自分はこの商品に巡り会えて幸いでした。 補足ですが、停電アラームの電源は普通の乾電池である点もメンテナンスしやすくて高評価です。 なお、アメリカからの輸入品になるようですので、本来付帯している1年のメーカー保証は無効みたいです。 マーケットプレイスでは、信頼のおけそうな販売店さんから買うべきと思いました。
