Brilliant game

If you enjoy war video games and the challenge of sneaking around large areas to take out the enemy, with fairly graphic vision of your sniper bullet damage to others this is the game for you! Part of a series of which I have and enjoyed and this game did not disappoint. Great game quality, good storyline and difficulty levels to suit all players

Great game

Sniper elite 5 once more throws you into the role of the titular Lt Fairburn as you crawl, stalk, and snipe your way across the battlefields of WWII, this time in 1944 where you arrive in Nazi occupied France to work with the local resistance and pave a way for the Allied invasion. All the usual features are there. You can equip your character with a variety of sniper rifles, sub-machine guns, and pistols -all of which can be modded with things like scopes, barrels, and trigger mechanisms. You also have access to a number of support items to help you complete your missions, including hand grenades, TNT, land mines, and medical kits/bandages. As usual the game exalts patience and tactics, reconning the battlefield and locating the best way to meet your objectives, whilst taking out your targets with long-range rifle fire resulting in glorious x-ray kills, setting up traps and destroying vehicles and instillations like coastal guns and radar instillations. Missions are open ended, presenting you with a massive map of your current theatre of war and allowing you the freedom to pursue objectives as you see fit. Secondary objectives will present themselves as you discover them and there are numerous items of important intel to be collected as well as bonus experience to be collected by completing certain challenges. Experience can be used to level up your character and upgrade numerous attribues on a skill tree that will grant you things such as extra health, more item slots, or extend the range of your extra-sensory ability to detect nearby threats. Sadly, whilst all of these things are excellent fun as always, the game is extremely thin on new or unique features - with "invasion" (which allows other players to enter your game as German soldiers) being the only real development here. So its fun for all the reasons it's always been fun, but I for one things the Lt needs a new war to fight and I really with the developers would give us a game set in a different arena than WWII, such as Korea or even Vietnam

Sniper elite 5s single player campaign is a massive improvement from the others, massive maps, over 1hr long missions, could be longer if you’re patient and like taking your time, great attention to detail and of course the famous testicle shots are back, The whole game can be played solo or with a friend using co-op there’s also survival mode, solo or co-op and multiplayer, and the newest addition, invasion mode which is really cool. You can either play as a nazi and invade another peoples single player game or have someone invade yours (this can be turned off if you don’t want bothered so don’t worry) however you will need to sign up to playstation+ to be able to play online which I still think is ridiculous, paying to play a game you’ve bought on a console you’ve bought with the internet your paying for but that’s a gripe I’ve been making for years and all the young folk just throw the credit card at things like that no issues. Overall it’s a fantastic game and definitely one for the Collection if your into single player games or a modern day multiplayer zoomer.

What a great game! Will look for the earlier editions of SE, and certainly buy the new one. Hours of endless fun!!!!!

My new favourite game (after Snipe Elite 4)! Hours of fun sneaking around shooting pixel people (not condoning shooting real people - these are pixel Nazi's after all). I like the way it plays. Sneak around or kill everything.

Being a fan of the sniper series i have to say it is the best one yet , has some interesting levels , some harder than others , if you are a multiplayer its does have a fun options , if you have played any of the previous games then you know what to expect , if you havnt play sniper 4 to get the feel of the bigger maps and weapons . all round a good game .

Je viens de commencer le jeu alors graphisme superbe juste dommage que les visage ne soient pas un peu plus réaliste. Accros à SNIPER 4 celui-ci me plaît bien et reste un peu dans la ligné du 4. Seul soucis c'est que cette version ne soient pas en Français, il faut à chaque fois lire les sous-titres, sinon par rapport au 4 ce jeu à bien évolué plus de choses à faire et autres.

I love the sniper elite games and this one does not disappoint. I've played through multiple times from beginner to authentic and I am still having fun with it. It is 100% a step up from elite 4 as well. If you are a gamer looking for a real life WWII game this is not for you. but all in all 5 star for me
