What frequency (Hz) is the alarm? (I can not hear above 1950Hz.)

I haven't tested for the specific frequency, but I can set the alarm downstairs and hear it sounding when I'm upstairs. This is with the doors open. This alarm also sounds again every few seconds after the initial alarm, so I'm sure to hear it.

We set ours and changed the batteries now it counts up instead of down. Is there a way to eset it?

Remove the batteries and try again.

How do I turne it off. Their is no on/off switch, auto shut off, and it is not mentioned in the instructions. I have tryed everything & no good.

if you mean to turn off the alarm while sounding, just push any button. If you want to turn off the sound to just use it as a visual timer only you are out of luck If you want to turn the sound down press the 'vol' button, it has 4 levels indicated by the vertical bars on the upper right of the display. The lowest setting is plenty loud. There is no auto shutoff, it just keeps sounding for a few seconds every 30-45 seconds until you hit a button to shut it off.
