Great add on
When I first purchased the Clear Blue Tiles Essential Kit I wasn't sure that I would like it. Even though I watched a few videos about using them I didn't fully undestand how they worked. Once I tried them I have found out just how easy they are to use. The instructions are clear and concise making their use so simple. My projects now have an extra special demension to them. I checked the sizes for the expansion set and found out that I can also use the larger designs on my machine. Thanks Kimberbell for another great product!

Great product
These are the best invention yet. So easy to use. They really do work. The markers aren’t that great they seem a little on the dry side. They don’t get a good marking on the fabric, but other wise that’s my only complaint is that marker

I can quilt
I used this for the first time and found it made it so much easier to quilt a project because it will go edge to edge just like the video says...can't wait to complete a big project with it!

Quilting design has TINY stitches
I love everything Kimberbell. My house is full of their projects completed and those yet to be done. I ordered the Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles even though I had concerns about how close the motifs looked online for the quilting stitch outs. After using these today, the Clear Blue Tiles worked exactly as described! No more quilting designs that get offline due to misaligning designs as I traveled across the table runner.I ordered design “Spring 2” with the flowers, butterflies and watering cans from their web store. During stitch out, I confirmed that the motifs are pretty densely populated throughout the design, more so than I liked. I’m guessing it needs to be done this way in order to be able to have the same quilt pattern in different size tiles. The real issue I have is with this Kimberbell quilting design. I’m not sure if all designs on their website are digitized this way, but I quilted a 40” x 14” in space. There were 34,750 stitches and required me to load 3 large bobbins to sew this out. Some of the stitches were 2.5mm though I’m used to quilting designs stitch length being closer to 3 mm, however the majority of the stitches were 1 mm! Shocking! My poor table runner was pierced so many times I couldn’t believe it! I tried to take photos, but those tiny stitches in white thread couldn’t really be seen in the photo due to the white background fabric.Worse yet, I had embroidered around 400 tiny stitches before I realized that there was an issue with the 5th stitch out, which caused me to spend 3 hours gently ripping them out. I was very lucky not to have torn the expensive quilt fabric.Hopefully this issue is due to something I did wrong, though I have 40 yrs experience, or perhaps it’s just an issue with this design as the flyer that came in the box appears to have longer stitch lengths in some of their photos. I may try another Kimberbell design, but more likely, will stick to the all over designs from other sellers and just use the tiles to mark the quilt tops.If I do try another Kimberbell design and have a different experience, I will update this review.

still getting the hang of these
I like the digitized quilt files included for my embroidery machine and have used several of them. The designs are really nice, especially for smaller areas such as a pillow flange. The tip of the pen is wider than I would prefer; it leaves open room for interpretation when piecing together several files if I'm embroidering a longer area that requires 2 or more tiles. As many people have said, it would be nice if there was a secure folder to download these from instead of using a USB. The first thing I did was to transfer the files to a cloud drive so a USB doesn't really deter theft.
