861155A3 Electric Fuel Pump For Mercury Marine

Have a Mercruiser 4.3 carbureted, mechanical fuel pump failed and always sucked at cold starts, bunch of cranking till it finally pick up fuel, with the electric pump, even after sitting over the winter it fires right up since I can prime it before ever cranking, the starter is definitely thanking me

This lasted about 20 minutes on the water and I had to get towed back to the dock

I had to change the electrical plug on the boat and on the pump so they would mate up with each other. Not a big deal.

My carburetor is rated for 5-7 psi. I did not know that before purchasing this pump. It was running super rich and I couldn’t figure out why. Install a pressure regulator and drop it down to 5.5-6 and she will clear right up. You’re welcome!
