The Coldest Water Pillow - Adjustable Fill, Washable Cover, and Best for Breathable Cool While Sleeping -Premium (Queen)

I am a lady of a certain age who gets hot flashes. I have spent tons of money on cooling products all in the pursuit of overcoming night sweats. ( more than I care to admit in a review certainly) My latest cooling pillow lasted for years until it lost it’s cooling ability. Sadly the company no longer makes that pillow anymore. Desperate for relief my hunt began… fast forward several months and I stumble upon this pillow! Pros- the travel size is slightly larger than your typical toddler pillow. Makes it better for me as a tummy/side sleeper to position it perfectly as I half lay/ half hug it in my weird slumbering position. The first night I slept on it I found it to be too full. But fear not, if the height is not to your liking, simply take out some of the filler by easily unzipping the pillow and case! You even get a nice storage bag with some filler in it should you need to add more. The second night I slept on it was blissful nirvana! I found I no longer was waking up to flip a pillow to refresh to a cool side. The pillow case that it comes with is extremely soft and cool to the touch as well! All this with a price that doesn’t break the bank is a win in my book! Cons- esthetically, the pillow case it comes with is in my opinion not the most fashionable one I would hope for. The black stripe around the middle is funky and stands out like a sore thumb against my bedding set. At this point I am willing to deal with the ugliness since I can now sleep! I am also struggling to find a good pillow case to fit this pillow as it is slightly larger than a toddler size pillow. I did purchase one toddler pillowcase in hopes I could just make it fit but it was too smushed into it to retain the softness that I know this pillow has. I am going to end up making one to custom fit this pillow since I love it so much! Overall, if you don’t mind the look of the case it comes with, I would highly recommend giving this pillow a try!

Ok so I waited 2 weeks to write a review because I wanted to give us time to adjust from sleeping on crappy bargain mart pillows bought from big blue retail/grocery stores. That said, the expectation that it will remain as cold as a block of ice throught the night is unrealistic! But these are cold to the touch, and if you want the continual chill effect, you will have to flip it throught your sleep. I do this already, often without waking to a fully conscious state. The outer cover is what delivers the cooling effect. I am not too sure that the gel foam inside the second case does much cooling, but it does cradle your head as if jesus himself were craddling your head in his lap. Despite some reviews and answers to questions asked, the fill IS adjustable, simply unzip both cases and pull some out. We store ours in a ziplock bag for future use. I wasn't sure that we would like using the pillows without a pillow case, but after trying it both ways the only real difference i found is without the pillow case the pillow feels a little colder but is much slipperier when trying to fold or mold( I, for what ever reason, never just lay my head in the middle of the pillow, i like to tuck the corner under itself). If you use a pillow case, it is best to find a pillow case made of 100% cotton of percale weave, as i found that other material really defeats the cooling properties of the outer case. To sum it up, it is a quality, adjustable to your preference pillow that has the best cooling properties that i have found to date. If that is what you are looking for, i would recommend this pillow.

ordered two - and after following the instructions to place in the dryer on air with tennis balls one got big and fluffy ( not really what I wanted - wanted firm and solid) and the other did not but is bulking is spots and thus is not terribly comfortable as one side is bulky and lumpy the other kind of more solid. They also barely fit into a king sized pillow case - that CONSTANTLY comes off during sleep. As for cold - well I can't really say they are any cooler than any other pillow. It gets hot when you use it. so not really sure how this is supposed to work.

Let me preface: I was hoping this pillow would replace my current pillow. My current pillow is amazing, but only is cold on one side. My current pillow was over filled, so I needed to remove filling to be comfortable. My pillow before that was the same. This pillow, after letting it decompress for more than 2 days, was so thin it was ridiculous. Think memory foam chair cushion thin. They do include "extra filling", but is a small fraction of what I would need to improve the thickness. I attempted to sleep on this pillow regardless of how thin it was. I folded it in half essentially. I am aware that no matter what pillow you get, the body heat from your head will warm up the pillow. That said, compared again to my current cold pillow, this pillow warmed up much faster, and was as uncomfortable as my current pillows' non-cooled side. I was going to take filling from my current pillow, and sacrifice it to fill up this pillow. That changed when I felt how quickly the "cool" feature dissipates. So, I will be returning this pillow.

Pillow does not feel cold at all. It is nice and comfortable to use but not cold at all in the slightest.
