I wasn't sure what to expect from this item at first because i never purchased anything like this before but now i am super impressed with it!!! This is a fantastic gift for kids (and i kind of want to play with it also haha!). The box it comes in was really high end looking, like a certain maker of phones that has nice boxes, which gave a great first impression for a gift. One thing i wasn't certain about was whether it would do anything right out of the box without learning about programming and apps and whatnot, but i was happy to see that any kid could start playing with it right away, with the cute sounds and images that appear on the 'face' of the toy and the moves it can do before even getting into the app and programming part. Another thing i was impressed about was that it had no problem on uneven surfaces, my wood floors are very wavy handscraped hardwood type floors and many simple toys have problems on them, but the wheels on the bottom of this robot were perfect and had no issue moving around, which was great.Overall i really love this little robot, and its a perfect gift which i could see working for a variety of ages (in my case it was for an 8 year old who is really into electronics and loves robots). When my son is not looking i'm definitely going to have to borrow this to play with!

I wrote a bad review because my kids lost interest over this item in a day. The company reached out almost immediately to make it right. And that says a lot. I’ve decided to keep the robot, it actually is pretty cool, and we can do som fun things with it. But when I say hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, I want to give them money for going above and beyond to make it right, when there was actually nothing at all wrong with the product. Please buy everything from them, customer service like this does not exist anymore.

The Ruko NX01 Kids Robot is a nice toy made and designed for kids in the range of 3-8 years. The robot is made of high-quality ABS plastic which is not hazardous for kids. The toy comes in a nice and stylish package making it a good choice as a gift. It is not heavy and can be handled by the kids well. The Bluetooth connection was pretty straightforward following the instructions. I like the sound effects as they can draw kids' attention very well. However, the effects are very limited and I expected to have more sound effects and nice songs in this toy robot. The robot can have a smooth movement on hard floors although the backward movement is sometimes lousy and imbalanced. On the other hand, it is not able to move on the carpets.The robot has a nice display screen that can show different patterns and words. It is a single-color screen but can show many fun patterns and smilies. You can toggle between them using the mobile app. I suggest installing the mobile app first and then following the instructions to connect to the robot (working with the physical buttons of the robot was not easy for me...). The app is pretty simple and you can define some directional patterns for the robot and change the screen display. However, these are the only features that you have control over them. I think they cannot stay very entertaining for the kids after a while, especially for older kids who are interested to discover new things in each toy. The voice commands sometimes work fine but you should repeat them some other times to be processed by the robot.Overall, the current toy robot has a nice and cute design that can be interesting for many kids, and it has also nice but limited capabilities, especially in terms of programming.

Bought this for my 4 year old son who Is into robots and transformers. He loves it and won’t put it down. Very interactive and easy to use. Packaging, product and customer care is outstanding. Highly recommend this purchase for the money

I initially got this for my toddler but he got tired of it fast. He wasn't super amused by it although I personally think it's a fun interactive robot. I ended up using this to entertain my 8month old baby. He loves it because it talks and it's got music and dances too. Although I cant let him just play with it unattended since it's got square edges and it's heavy which might end up hurting him.It's a fun robot to have. Installation and set up of the app on the phone was a breeze as well. Very easy and straightforward. I am actually happy with it.

Try to connect the app to the robot in and will not work is the constant thing it’s really annoyingCan somebody help me out as a really cool toy but nothing works except having it on. Bluetooth will not work at all.

So right off the bat I think I got a used one of these. Mine came in a sealed plastic bag with no box with a broken mini-usb cable. However it did work though.So my mini-me did like this little robot and its songs and dances are fun however for a very limited time. It does have the ability to be used by phone, but its coding abilities are very lacking. So lets roll into the pros/consPros:-Initial wow factor-You can remotely control it from your phone-Holds a good charge-Pretty tough and can withstand alot of abuse.Cons:-Novelty wears off fast-Coding is incredibly limited and pretty much useless for a learning tool-Voice recognition is awful-Only has 4 songsAll in all this is a cool novelty and picqued my childs interest for all of 30 minutes. Since than it just sits in the toy bin, unless I bring it out for the cats to play with. If this had more features it would be much better, but since its so lacking its really just a novelty toy to watch.
