Literally, a life saver
We adopted a husky from animal control that came home with a cracked, crusted nose and pads with hair missing around one eye and paws. Vet said maybe allergies, nope. Then we tested for autoimmune diseases, nope, but the test did reveal a severe zinc deficiency. Tried capsules, but the upset his stomach. Found a review with this product with a cookie recipe, thought I’d try. First, he loves the taste of this product and loves to have it sprinkled on this food. Made the cookie recipe and he loves those too. We’ve only been using for about 2 weeks and his nose is finally healing and we see the hair returning around his eye and paws. We highly recommend and we’ve already put the larger tub on auto ship because this is the only product that has worked for our fur kid.

Great for Huskies with Skin Problems!
When our husky developed really horrible scaly patches around her eyes, mouth, and ears, the vet thought it was a food allergy. We switched her to an expensive limited ingredient dog food and tried switching proteins multiple times, but nothing helped. Then I did some research and learned that huskies are prone to zinc responsive dermatosis. All we needed to do was add a zinc supplement to her diet and her skin cleared up after a few weeks! This product has been excellent for us and is a great value!

My dog is very sick
This was great for the first 3 weeks. My husky’s fur grew back, her hotspots disappeared, and her energy was great. I started with 2 weeks of morning and even dose (bag recommend 4 weeks of double dose) after the second week I went down to normal one dose a day. At the 3 week mark my dog slowly became extremely lethargic and refused to eat her food, and had diarrhea. This was the only new product or life style change. After taking her to the vet we have come to the conclusion of (garlic poison) Garlic is toxic to dogs and for some odd reason this product has garlic in it. I read the bad reviews that mentioned this… I chose to ignore it due to all the great reviews…especially the amount of good reviews that mentioned husky’s doing so well on this. Trust me this is not worth the risk, or the worry. I’ve been crying thinking my dog is on her death bed. I’ve spent over $1000 at the vet and will be spending more over the next few days for poison treatment. I am not a dramatic person, I’ve bought plenty of crap off of Amazon and I dont write bad reviews, but this really did a number on my dog and I am beyond upset. The picture is of her laying next to her food.. after not eating f for 3 days!

Life saver
My husky suffers from seizures. After extensive research I learned that zinc is very important to a husky’s diet. They require more than the average dog. I started adding the zinc to her food and her seizures are non existent. She hasn’t had one since I started the zinc. I’m not a vet so always consult with your veterinarian.

Great supplement!
We use this for one of our Alaskan Malamutes. He has a bit of a zinc deficiency resulting in some keratin like growths around his nose and tail. He devours his food when we sprinkle this on it. Unlike most malamutes is he pretty picky so we are very happy that he likes this.

Best thing ever!
So far my husky has been having this added to his liver and wet food. In the course of a week and several days his mouth area where he had some raw patches and scabby area is greatly improved its minimal and has healed. He doesn't mind it being mixed in and devours the wet food/liver that I mix in with his powder. I'm just happy because he seems much happier and looks pretty healthy I also give him regular vitamins.

Great until it wasn't
5/6/25 update: Initially I ignored the warnings from other reviews that the presence of garlic made this toxic to dogs. It was the only zinc supplement I found that my dog could eat, and she needed the zinc. Initially, as seen in my original review, it was great. This past winter, she had a ZRD breakout and I increased her dosage temporarily as instructed by the packaging. She stopped eating her food and experienced gastric distress. We initially suspected she had a thyroid deficiency or something else, since the zinc had been working for so long. After multiple vet visits I opted to eliminate the zinc supplement just in case. Her issues cleared up almost overnight, and within a week she was a much happier dog. I cannot in good conscience continue to recommend this supplement. DO NOT GIVE THIS PRODUCT TO YOUR DOG. Original review: My Siberian husky needs a daily zinc supplement, as many of the breed do. She she cannot have most animal proteins so a lot of zinc supplements are out. We tried several other brands before coming to this one. She spits out zinc pills or just won't eat the food. She will eat her food with this supplement and that's all I need. It's worked great to help her heal over the past months. I highly recommend this product.

This is the answer we’ve been searching for!!
Game changer! My dogs skin has literally been changed in a week.. softer smoother coat.. my allergy vet was certain that she was having just allergies but my friend mentioned that her dog had the same issue.. zinc deficiency was never mentioned but I was desperate. This is the key ingredient that completely transformed my puppy overnight! Thank you!!

This is the NEW version with new packaging, and revised formula. It doesnt have garlic anymore, and now has added iron, vitemin E and manganese. So far so good no reactions, it not an easy product to replace if you have a husky or dog that needs it so Im glad they seemed to have fixed it after the giant flop of the last revision.
