Unrolled and inflated easily. Light weight and fits perfectly on our camp cots

I use this sleeping pad often on uneven terrain with nothing but a thin blanket between it and the ground. I have not had any problem with leaks or holes at all. It is, of course, an improvement over the ground and I prefer it to the typical foam camp pads. There are more expensive options out there and if you want something lighter and more compact you can go with those, but if you just want something cheap that works and you can beat up, this is it. I have written many term papers and essays while curled up on this by a creek with my tablet. You can add a little air to it yourself if you like it more firm or let it out while sitting on it and it will conform. A couple notes. I am pretty rough on my mattress, but I do make a little effort to not deliberately used it on sharp surfaces. Make sure you inflate it between uses or it can take a while to inflate. Try not to leave it in a hot car and if you must, then be sure to open the valve (otherwise it can get hole)

UPDATED 3 STAR REVIEW: I am updating this review because over the past year I have had a few issues with this pad. I tried this pad out for the first time when I initially received and it worked perfectly. I then took this pad on a backpacking trip and on the first night a little hole appeared on the seam of one of the edges. I only weigh 175lbs and did not use it for anything other than sleeping on. I was left that night and the next night on a deflated pad. It would have been too much work, and not worth it, to inflate the pad every time it deflated (took about an hour to deflate). I assumed it was a defect so I got the pad replaced (Thank you amazon customer service!). Since then I have used the new mat on about 5 other trips for a total of around 8-10 times. Just recently the pad got another hole in it! Yet again, I tracked this hole to the seam, but this time, around the inflator in the corner. I tested this out by inflating the pad and covering just the inflator (not the seam) with a very very tiny plastic cover. Although I could hear air coming out, I could not see air filling or blowing on the plastic cover. I then put the cover over the seam and the entire inflator assembly and sure enough the plastic cover started to slowly fill up with air. So for $30 I was able to use this heavy, bulky, yet comfortable, sleeping pad for about 10 times. I guess $3 per use over the past year is not all that bad, but the fact that two pads failed because of a weak seal at the seams shows that this pad is not all that worth it. You are better of spending $20-$30 more for a lighter, more durable and compact, pad. Although you may spend more upfront, you will get more use out of a different pad than this one. If you want to save money and only use it a few times before its inevitable failure, then this is the pad for you! ORIGINAL 5 STAR REVIEW:Love this air mattress. Its a little heavy and bulky but for the price you cant beat it. It does self inflate but after about 10 minutes or so you need to inflate it yourself to get it all the way full. Is very comfortable and keep you warm on colder nights when camping
