Caldwell Lead Sled Weight Bag with Durable Construction and Water Resistance for Outdoor, Range, Sight-In, Shooting and Hunting

I've had a couple 25lb canvas bags of lead shot for about 20 years and I'd use them at the range every year with my old Lead Sled when I'd sight in my scopes for hunting season. The canvas was getting a little threadbare, though, and I did NOT want to clean up the mess when the canvas broke! When these bags arrived I was a little disappointed as they just didn't look large enough. To my great surprise, though, I tried dropping an old bag into the new one and it went in like a pillow into a tight pillow case! They both fit perfectly and now I don't have to worry about picking up lead shot from everywhere! I love the carry handles and the secure closures. Rock solid, great product!

The bags are made of a durable material. However the zippers are difficult to operate even with the tag end to use. I uses sand as a weight material for which has a fine consistency and can escape when closing the bag. Once closed completely closed it does well.

The shooting rest is mounted to a 24x30 inch sheet of 3/4" plywood, the side of the plywood toward the bench is painted with a rubberized anti-skid paint. These sandbags were placed on top of the plywood to restrain the shooting rest and have performed quite well. I purchased a "Lead-Sled" and these work perfectly (though you only need two of them if your stack'n 25 lb. shot. If you are new to shooting, trust the brand. If you are an older shooter, you already do.

Just what I was looking for

Perfect. Works great. They would leak sand at first. But I put the sand in zip lock bags before putting them into the sand bags and haven’t had any other issues.
