Bugflector II Hood Shield

BEAUTIFUL! Auto Ventshade [AVS] 25053 Bugflector II Hood Shield | 2010 - 2023 Toyota 4Runner, High Profile, Smoke, 1 pc. For some reason the description says it fits. Amazon throws a flag stating it doesn’t. This DOES fit a 2016 4Runner. Not only does it fit, I believe it fits perfectly. Literally a 10 minute install. Perfect fit and look. Love the dark smoke compared with solid painted. As picture shows you can’t even see it on a car with black paint. Wouldn’t even think you could find anything better. Enjoy!

Just like many other reviewers have stated, this "Auto Ventshade 25053 Bugflector II Dark Smoke Hood Shield for 2010-2018 Toyota 4Runner" goes on in a breeze. Less than 10 minutes for me, where I hand-tightened the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. And YES, it fits the 2021's! The company logo that's on the drivers side of the shade, although kind of pretty, comes off very easily for a flawless finish. In short, the deflector looks fantastic and the fitment is spot on. It's quite sturdy, of excellent quality, and could be an OEM part. It arrived in excellent condition in the large [almost 6'L] factory box. But don't worry, the deflector is smaller than the box. The hardware and instructions were within the shrink wrapped bug deflector that I received.There are lots of great photos of the deflector here, shown from the outside. But what about from the inside?! I added 2 photos for you. Depending on how high up you sit, or how tall you are, you may only see a hint of the edge of the deflector. So, it doesn't obscure any part of your view. Since this deflector is on my black 2021 Toyota 4Runner Venture SE, the deflector just kind of melds in with the vehicles lines. That's not a complaint, but a testament to just how good this deflector looks from any view. It really adds something a little sinister to the 4Runner while being functional. And the price point is excellent. Oh heck yeah!!Lastly, I haven't noticed any kind of noise or movement from the deflector while doing 65mph.I would definitely suggest this bug deflector-vent shade to any new 4Runner owner!

This guard is just perfect! It's solid and fits perfectly. It's easy to install and makes my 4Runner look a tad more aggressive. Highly recommend it!

It was time to replace the Toyota OEM hood shield on my 2012 4Runner. To my surprise Toyota halted production of the OEM item. The AVS shield is 100% molded plastic vs the OEM using 8 metal tabs that rest on the hood. The AVS shield was very easy to install and fits the lines of the 4Runner better than the OEM, the look is more custom fit, in contrast to the bolt-on look of the OEM. The high-profile version refers to the width or wrap around look that extends a few inches further than the medium-profile version which is similar to the OEM length at the edges of the hood. The included adhesive bumpers were placed on the shield itself instead of on the hood, but they do seem unnecessary as the AVS is rigid enough that it doesn't flex enough to touch the hood, even at highway speeds. Very happy with fit and finish of this product.

Fits a 2023 4runner limited.Easy installation with the tabs and screws, looks great

Super easy it install and fits great took maybe 7 minutes.Came with everything I needed.-I will probably add some more bumpers between the hood and the deflector( to protect the paint, it does come with 4 bumpers but I want more protection)Minor concern that it will rub on the bumper below the hood we will see it’s a close fit.-Concerned about quality control.Inspected the box no damage to the box or anything but when I examined the deflector it was wrap in packaging in the box.I noticed the passenger side that had a vent hole it seems it is warped upward : first pictureThen noticed deep scratches on the drivers side above the vent.If it didn’t have those issues I would of given it a 5/5.-Overall this is amazing and looks great excited to see how it handles when I take it out for a drive.-It’s not perfect but I would recommend

Very high quality, and was a piece of cake to install. Best of all, it does not touch the exterior surface of the hood of my 4Runner at all so I am not afraid of any scuffs or scratches. Looks great too! AVS did a good job with it. On a side note, the box was huge and flimsy and damaged in shipping. Luckily the product and hardware were undamaged and accounted for.
