Fun project
This was a fun project to work on w/ my 10 year old daughter. We built it in 15-30 min increments over a few weeks. Directions were easy to follow. The app and buggy connected with no issues and it is fun to drive. There are a lot of reviews out there regarding the difficulty of controlling the car with just one virtual joystick - that has since been fixed as there is a forward-reverse control and a separate steering control option.

Lego
Not in the mood to write long review, so will only tell the most important thing. This is Lego, which means it's easy to assemble, works great and doesn't fall apart. Gives alot of happiness to children and geek parents

Finally Dissapointed in Lego
Life long lego kid, here. I love Lego and have for 30 uears, but this was total garbage.1) it's a poor design where the back wheels just fall off. I could mod it but part two made that pointless.2) YOU CAN'T HAVE AN APP REMOTE! This is the dumbest thing I've seen in a LONG time. With a regular controller, you can FEEEEEEEEEL where your fingers are on the joy stick. Never look down, just focus on the car.NOW you have to constantly look down because you CAN'T FEEL THE POSITION! So you look down, adjust fingers, drive for a second, look down, adjust fingers by sight!COME ON, LEGO! You're better than this.I wanted to start buying up technic and getting motors going but now I won't. Lego thought it was a good idea so they could make another app..........

Hard to control, too expensive.
I got this set to try out the new motor design. The set it's self is unimpressive due to the low part count and crummy way the smartphone controls work. Building the set was fun but quick but having to focus on the screen plus the car made play impossible.I was able to have some fun plaby it using 3rd party firmware Pybricks, which allowed me to use the 88010 controller. Rebrickable has many MOCs for thisodel, so there is some replay value despite having few parts. So yeah, despite having a high price and few parts it's still the best new set. You can spend countless hours trying MOCs, and incorporate the valuble shocks motors and gears into your own creations if you have other sets.
