BUILT Bar Puff Protein Bars - Coconut - 17g Protein Snack Bars with Collagen - Calorie Conscious & Gluten Free - 12 Count

I've been wanting to try this forever. I never see the BUILT Puff bar options in store. I really didnt want to buy a case, but recently I decided to splurge. Glad I did! I already want more, and I hope they have more flavors actually available soon. Many are unavailable :( I wanted to try them because I love chocolate covered marshmallow. I really prefer it when the marshmallow is firm and kinda chewy rather than soft. I joke that I like stale marshmallow. But man, when I get those egg cartons at Easter time that are filled with chocolate covered egg shape marshmallows, there is always a couple of "tough" ones in the bunch, and THAT is what I like. Same goes for other holiday offerings of this ilk. So I bit into this and was in heaven. It has that firm, dense chew, that tough marshmallow texture that I yearn for. If these were extra soft, I wouldnt be as impressed. This is very much actual marshmallow, and I am surprised that more "protein" bars dont utilize it. Gelatin has protein. I have made my own marshmallows before, so I may get back to that. For best utilized protein in form of collagen, we want hydrolyzed, but hydrolyzed doesnt "gel", hence we want non-hydrolyzed collagen, or "gelatin". This uses both, so both of both worlds. Also whey protein, but manages to not have a whey protein taste. The outer chocolate is ok. It isnt delicious, more of a vessel for carrying the marshmallow. Very basic "chocolate". Definitely more of a candy vibe. Never would think this was a protein bar, Very pricy though. These are small bars, maybe 4-5 bites max. I dont rate on price though--we can all see price, have different budgets, needs, preferences, and for me.. desires. lol. I just really wanted to try it, and now that I know that it is what I want texture wise, I will likely buy more. Hope to see a sale, coupon, or subscribe and save offer soon. BTW, the option I bought is coconut, and it has a light coconut flavor. I also tried these upon delivery, which was a very cold day. Not sure if the marshmallow gets softer (hope not), but if it does, then I know to enjoy these direct from fridge.

These are some of my absolute favorite snacks. They are delicious. They taste like a candy bar.they are moist and lovely. A quick and healthy way to get some protein into your system, especially when you are on the run. These are the best quality protein bars. I order them in a variety of flavors. The puffs are the way to go!

I love these things. They taste like marshmallows- not coconut. I live on them. Definitely not dry. No fiber but it is honest about that. Added collagen helps - I lope. I have bought hundreds of.

These are my favorite protein bars. I discovered these by accident as ai began my GLP-1 weight loss journey. They were the only ones that I felt full with and not nauseous. My blood sugars did not spike due to low sugar content and my energy level was great! I was able to make it throughout the day teaching without snacking. They are delicious and a great value. They are packaged with insulation to avoid hot temps.

I'm a big protein guy and a heavy lifter. I also love sweets. Even though I tolerate most bars no problem, this was a completely different experience. I have only had the coconut, but it tastes exactly like the Hostess Snowballs. I crave them like a normal candy bar, and the nutrition is pretty good compared to most. 140 calories and 17 grams of protein isn't too bad. I am ok with the tradeoff of flavor vs nutrition. Important to note* It is not crunchy at all. It is more gummy/chewy like the outside of a Hostess Snowball. It's very soft.* Personally, I liked that because it is a unique texture.

I am giving it 4 stars because it doesn’t have peanuts and I am a big fan of dark chocolate. Most protein bars have peanuts or are too dry, so these were a welcome surprise. Just wish they weren’t so expensive, which is why they get a 4 instead of a five.

Delicious. I'm obsessed with these protein bars. Basically just chocolate covered marsmallows. There's no sickly artificial protein taste. Good protein to calorie ratio. The price is criminally high though.

Excellent but price is crazy

If you eat protein bars. You will like these. Most have that chalky taste. These are not like that. These have a marshmallow feel. Taste awesome. They may too good.

Product unfortunately was packed poorly for shipping. All the bars arrived crushed and when you open the package the chocolate coating goes all over the place from being cracked/broken (as you’ll see in the photos). They packed it in a plastic bag and an envelope for shipping, seems like a huge oversight when it’s a “squishy” bar. Most come in boxes and these were all individually and loosely packed in a bag. It’s really unfortunate as the bars are EXCELLENT. If the packing can be improved (ie. a protective box) then this, what seems to be a common problem in the reviews, would be solved. So thumbs down on packaging. PRODUCT: very tasty, despite being all broken. Nice marshmallow texture and “chew”, the flavour is definitely coconut, real not a fake taste, just the right amount of coconut. It’s like a treat, it’s a great protein bar and a nice change from the average bar. CONCLUSION: I would definitely buy again if packaging can be improved. I was refunded for all the bars arriving broken and sent photos of the packaging and crushed bars. Normally I would have not bothered complaining if it was a little squashed, however, when I opened the bar the chocolate was so broken the little pieces fell onto my clothes and the floor and that wasn’t a good first impression and experience. Bar is still a 10/10 in final rating for overall flavour, texture and overall enjoyment! 4 stars because of bad packaging. Hope that helps! They are awesome.
