Simple, but effective. A friend told me about this and I had to check it out. It’s extremely well-made and surprising for the price.

Much better than my wooden jig. Just be careful with the screws and wrench; doesn't take much to round off the screws

Works GREAT! I just used this jig to sharpen the blades on my RIGID planer, and man-'o-man it did a darn fine job. If you don't want to buy replacement blades and they are not nicked, this jig will save you money. The design is rock sturdy. It should last a life time or two.

Makes quick work sharpening my 6" jointer blades. I start with a diamond steel if there are chips, then move to 600 wet dry sandpaper wet down with a spray bottle, then 1000. I do this on a piece of plate glass. This jig and a magnetic blade setting jig make a reasonably quick job of changing jointer blades.

Holds the blades for a craftsman jointer at the wrong angel.

I liked the sharpener, but as noted by some others, the angle is not 45 degrees as stated in the description. Perhaps some were properly made. I wanted to get it replaced, but without any assurances of getting one with the proper angle I just returned it.

A perfect way to extend the life of disposable planer blades.
