I have a project that needed a check valve, so brass was twice as much as this, got it, came quick and works fine using flex hose with cam locks connection so I bought check valve and this, working Great.

The hinge pins, rings, and safety clips are all very magnetic (not stainless). As Super Dad notes, the hinge pins will ultimately rust, preventing you from being able to open / close the arms. The arms might be magnetic "cast" stainless, but I cannot tell for sure (might rust?). If you live in Arizona and are using these connections for dry service, they might last. Otherwise, I would avoid them. Update: I turns out the hinge pins can be easily punched out (just look for the splined end and drive it to that side). The pins are 1/4" x ~1.3" and a 1/4" stainless roll pin might work in their place. Update #2: The lever arms do appear to be stainless (though they are magnetic). I drilled into the arm hole and subjected the shavings to a shallow salt bath for 4 days. As such, I plan to order stainless roll pins to replace the steel ones. Since I have multiple parts from the same manufacturer, it is easier for me to do this than to send them back.
