This isn’t my first experience with this brand and I actually have been really happy with the few products I have tried from them thus far. Their cica cream is the only moisturizer I can use on my 10 year old that doesn’t break him out! My partner also uses it frequently since he has sensitive skin, so I was hoping that this serum would be a good addition to that. So far he seams to be pretty happy with it. It does claim to also be an after shave, but I wouldn’t categorize it like that. It’s definitely more of a toner or essence than an aftershave or even a serum. But it doesn’t irritate his skin and it leaves his skin feeling soft and smooth.

I really like this product, I would have given it five stars. But it replaces a IOPE product which I loved and can't get now ?

I got this for my husband who is in his 40s. He doesn't normally use an essence, but I got this to go along with the IOPE Anti-aging Emulsion Ex. It has fragrance and alcohol denat, which I personally avoid if possible but he doesn't mind. But, I was most interested in having him try this because it has niacinamide, which is one of my favorite skin care ingredients. The essence comes in a nice looking black glass bottle. First, my husband cleansed with a coconut based cleanser, and then he applied the essence. The liquid goes on very easily. He describes it as a non-irritating face cologne. It did not irritate his skin. It has a nice scent. Paired with the moisturizer, this is leaving his skin softer and smoother and more hydrated. I'm not sure if he will maintain this extra step, but I am a believer in a good essence. I recommend this one, but it might not be best for dry or sensitive skin because of the alcohol.

I am a man in my early 40s and admittedly do not use much if any skin care products. I used this after a shave and it felt like splashing some water on my skin -- no discernable difference. My skin didn't feel any softer. Overall, from my brief experience, I would not recommend this product.

It’s hard for me to find an anti-aging type of serum for my husband because he doesn’t see the need. This serum, however, he doesn’t mind. It’s simple for him to use. EXPIRATION DATE: 05/24/2025 I always check for expiration dates before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. This expiration date tells me the product hasn’t been sitting somewhere but has been manufactured recently for distribution. THOROUGHLY SEALED: ✅ It is important to me how manufacturers seal & ship their products. This item was THOROUGHLY SEALED, as you can see from the pictures. To me, this means the manufacturer cares about its products.✔️ The PRICE for this serum is in the usual range. It’s exactly as advertised and works well.

I get why they are billing this as a facial essence and a serum all in one. Being a men's skincare product, it's easier to sell to men, many of whom don't really want to be bothering with any sort of facial skincare products in the first place. Yes, you can use this by itself and think of this as your essence and serum all in one, but to me, this is only a facial essence. It's nothing like a serum at all. It's a fairly decent product to use on the face, but if you really want that extra treatment, use this as a toner like essence and then apply an actual full out facial serum afterwards. This comes in a thick glass bottle with a small hole for distribution. Very little comes out at a time making this a bit difficult to use. I find that it's easiest to keep shaking it out on a makeup removal pad or a cotton puff. Then dab it all over your face. Guys, you don't need to be wearing makeup to use those makeup removal pads. They are just really good to use for something like this. Even easier to use than cotton puffs. The essence seems to be clean and gentle on the skin. It's a thin liquid that's just a step above water. Once applied to the face, your skin will feel hydrated and conditioned. Not all that strong and it should not irritate your skin at all. Will not leave any unwanted residuals along the surface of the skin. But you do need to continue with either a real serum and/or a moisture cream of your choice. Should be fine for pretty much all skin types. Probably best for those with oily and problematic skin to those with slightly dry skin.

This water serum comes in a chic packaging and the texture is super watery as expected so you just need to apply a little bit of the product as it's very easy to massage and apply on the skin. You can either use a face cotton or just apply the product on your hand then massage it on the skin. It feels very light weighted on the skin and helps the skin stay soft and hydrated.
